Where's he going? What are we getting for him? OKC needs him the most, but will we make that trade? Suns needed him, but we missed the boat on that trade. Atlanta could use him, but we would probably give him away for the salary dump in that trade. Should we keep him for C depth to keep Adams and Sengun fresh for a playoff run? Should we get him some minutes in some blowout wins to show what he has to offer? He has to be the biggest disappointment of a contract, so just moving on from him will be a relief. With that in mind, I expect him to fully wreck shop when he joins a new team.

It's speculated that Vucevic is available for multiple second rounders. Please let's trade 2nd rounders, Landale and Tate for Vucevic. Would be a big boost off the bench and expand our options tremendously. Least they can do if they don't want to invest anything serious at this deadline.

We need that shooting injected in the rotation, it would be most impactful if it came from a 5 who can just hold his own defensively. The paint would be empty for at least those 24ish minutes.

    Que?

Such rage at a 3rd string C who has played his backside off every time he is required, and is on an expiring contract every year.

The entire point of him is to trade him.

Ime can fix him. Plus, he can slide into PF and play side by side with Sengun for an interesting look.

No, he can’t slide to PF.

That look is not interesting. Just play Jabari.

Tate and Jock shouldnt be traded, they should be extended instead as they are part of the "stay ready" crew and is our insurance policy against injuries. Vucevic is a starting center he isnt gonna be happy to sit on the bench just watching Alpi and Adams every night and only play when one of them gets injured.

He played extremely well after Sengun went down last year. Jalen's streak in March and the team going on a big run was in part due to Landale's play, he did everything we needed him to. Those games were a key to getting to .500 last season. Some people were questioning whether we even needed Sengun at one point during that run. He has proven to be good insurance with consistent minutes.

I don't think that's true. He's been the starting C of a top 5 defense. I'm sure he'll be fine against bench players. Drop coverage, passable job against bench players.

I think he plays around 24 minutes without Sengun. There are some double big lineups we can run with those two since Vuc can somewhat shoot, but as far as having a completely open paint for Sheppard/Jalen/Amen/Tari to assault - I figure we would have roughly 24 minutes. You simply put Vuc and Sheppard in the corners they can't leave them one inch or they're toast. Those 3 can beat their man fairly often if there's no rim protector to worry about (Jalen/Amen/Tari).

Maybe you swap Tari for Cam if you want more shooting/offensive lineup.

Come on for a couple of second rounders what are we expecting?

No, Adams is injury prone and Landale actually played decent during the limited minutes he was given. He is a pretty good insurance.

There's very little downside to keeping him. He was borderline unplayable early last year, but there's nothing really wrong with him as a backup now. If Adam's gets hurt, I'd like to have Landale around as an option. I'd be willing to trade him, but I'd rather keep him around personally.

It's like having Hartenstein and Holmgren on the floor at the same time or Allen and Mobley at the same time.

Correct. We're not asking it to be his career. Just through the playoffs.

Agreed. Don't get rid of Landale unless you are getting another back up behind Steven. There is no guarantee that Steven will remain healthy.

I don’t see the point unless he’s part of a bigger trade. His contract is valuable and we need a third center.

third centers shouldn't make $8 million a year. especially if we are adding another max contract.
