No - I don’t think it is clear bribery and I don’t think any promises have been made.

It is what I see often in business- it is a bunch of very wealthy people putting up (what to them) money in the hope that at best it keeps them off Trump’s **** list and at worst is a drop in the bucket gone…. That isn’t necessarily corruption or bribery.

Does it bother me? Yes it does, but so does most interactions between government officials and big businesses. Biden, Clinton and Bush had their group of lackeys as well.

Unfortunately this is probably the worst it has been since WWII. Big business is too powerful but I am not hanging my hat on Musk, Zuck and other idiots donating to an inauguration as on par with the other stuff I have read about and have seen.

Hopefully young people have enough of it and demand a separation between business and government or we will just keep eroding.

The major difference being while big tech tried bribing Biden and hire his friends as lobbyists. the government under Biden has sued to break up big business. Big banks, hedge funds, Amazon, Meta, Ticketmaster, Google, sued to stop Nvidia chips from being sold in China. United healthcare, big AG, the major meat packers were all sued under Biden. We were finally seeing the war on big business shift towards consumers. The government just successfully blocked the Kroger/Albertson merger which Kroger execs admitted would lead to store closures and layoffs.

Big business was weaker under Biden than it was at any point in recent history. Wall street literally declared Lina Khan, "public enemy #1" because they were so annoyed at the government doing their jobs.

Your premise that, "big business has always been this powerful" is false premise cuz they weren't strong under Biden. This, "both sides are corrupt" bs is just wrong. Trump nd the GOP are controlled by the tech billionaires

Big business has always been powerful and unfortunately this is the strongest it has been in over 80 years. While I appreciate (some) of the strides made by Biden’s administration, it is clear that right now the power and influence of billionaires has only grown and appears to be continuing to grow.

When we don’t have billionaires have an incredible amount of influence and there are changes made concerning what behavior is and isn’t legal and tolerated.

Both parties have been guilty of inappropriate behavior - and it certainly won’t get any better under Trump in 2025-2028.

No matter how many times you say, "both parties" only one party filed to break up big tech and monopolies and it wasnt the GOP. Trump is about to give rich folks a 6 trillion dollar tax scam cuz he brainwashed working class voters trans issues are more important than oligarchs ruling over us.

Democrats tried raising taxes and Biden did fund the IRS to audit fortune 500 companies. Both sides are not equally as complacent to billionaires.

Trump is a crook and hes not even hiding it this time.

The Republicans are worse than the Democrats in general and Trump is worse… but there are plenty of Democrats in office that are profiting from the current situation.

Team Biden is leaving President Trump a lit fuse. They will have to finance an additional $2 trillion.

It’s January and they will hit the debt ceiling almost immediately.
Biden spent a years budget in like 60 days.

    They are arsonists

Yeah, fiscal year starts a couple months before calendar year for the gov. Running up ~666B was as impressive as Joey Chestnut downing 69 hotdogs in one sitting.

Donny can do the same when it's his turn to leave...

Trump is inherenting a full employment economy, gdp above trend, record manufacturing CAPEX, oil production at its highest, lowest # of uninsured Americans in history, overdose deaths down for first time in decades, border encounters lower today when trump left office.

You MAGATs don't get to cry about the country. Were not MAGA cultists in this thread

Trump has already promised on extending the tax cuts which will cost 6 trillion. He's asking for another 100b for the military and his deportation plans will cost 138 billion alone.

All the losers crying about the debt are going stay quiet
