Id offer Fvv+Jeff Green+Landale+2025 pick+2027 pick (worst of) for Booker and Tyus Jones.

Best I can do is the contracts of Holiday, Tate, Unc, Landale and Adams with no picks.

I would hope there are some fans that are pushing back on these insane ideas over there.

Maybe the Suns could give us Booker and their 2031 1st rounder (unprotected) for Green???

With the way Jalen has been playing, they’d have to throw in multiple picks, and I’d still say no, considering he’s only 22.

All fan forums have totally irrational fans. These guys have probably only watched the Rockets when they play the Suns. I personally don't think Booker is a good fit for this team. Durant would be a much better fit for much less and he would go away in time for us to pay our young guys. FVV, Reed and 2 picks (1 Phx, 1 Rockets) for Durant. We would absolutely have a chance at winning the West this year and next and still have tons of assets for a trade 2 years from now, if we even need to make one.

There may be 5 or 6 players in the NBA that I would consider trading Amen Thompson for… Seeing his name in trades just make me mad at the other fan base.

With that said I kind of came up with a trade that might work, but their would have to be all kinds of picks and young players added to make it make sense for everyone.

    Booker to Rockets

    Beale to heat

Jimmy to suns plus either FVV or guys for salary (landale/ uncle green etc)

    That makes the math work

give phx all their picks back and they got rid of Beale. Not sure exactly what the heat would have to have to make that deal make sense for them, though

The problem with this comparison is both SGA and Harden were good, promising young players who were traded and then developed into top 5 players. Booker is 28. He should have a couple of years at his peak performance, but it's really doubtful he's going to improve much from what he's been.

If you want to use those comparisons, Harden was 23 when he was traded to Houston. SGA was a couple of days away from turning 22. That sounds like it explains Amen or Jalen more than it explains Booker

I never been a fan of Booker, he folds too much in the playoffs. He was averaging 12ppg in elimination games before he stat padded in game 4 against the wolves last year to fix those averages. I would give them Fred, Reed, contract fillers and all their picks back. They not getting Cam Tari or Amen. The Suns have to trade with us, we don’t necessarily have to trade with them . Take the offer or leave it.

"Makes the math work". Except I'm pretty sure the Heat don't want Beal at all. Looking at his ridiculous contract, who can blame them?

And also do we want to risk giving up all those picks to see if Booker can fit at PG here?

I was firmly against trading for KD before the season started. My reason at the time was we were not one last piece away from getting over the hump.

Fast forward to now. I’d actually prefer getting KD than Booker. With the way Green has been playing, Booker is redundant. But with KD we’ll have a very balanced team inside out. Plus I think it’s safe to assume KD’s price tag will be lower?

We have already ascended to true contender status. Our window started much sooner than anyone expected. Maybe KD is the last piece?

I'm not a fan of Jalen, but I wouldn't even trade him and Phoenix picks for Booker.

I've always had the belief Booker is incredibly overrated.

Problem is, Green is breaking out because he is now becoming #1 option. Once KD gets here, everybody's shots go down to accommodate him. I don't think his teammates have fun watching him do everything, despite his efficiency. I'd actually prefer Butler with this squad, assuming this version of Green is here to stay. If Green disappears for 5 or 6 games, then sure, Durant is our guy.

    Yup.

Star mega trades that are considered successful, player age at the time:
    - Harden to HOU, 23
    - Haliburton, 21
    - Mitchell, 25
    - Anthony Davis, 26 (already considered a top 5 player)

Star mega trades that were mistakes, player age at the time:
    - Gobert, 30
    - Beal, 29
    - PG13, 29
    - Westbrook to HOU, 30
    - Harden to BKN, 31
    - KD to PHX, 34

Devin Booker turns 29 this offseason. IMO, if you want a guy in the actual right age and contract range, look at LaMelo Ball. Otherwise, we can be patient and opportunistic instead of forcing it.

yah phx and Hou would have chip in assets to make mia do that deal. I’m sure they would take on Beal if they got enough… just not sure what that would be

No reason to shake things up this season. Correct me if I’m wrong but if the Suns fall into the lottery, don’t the Rockets have their pick? There’s always that small chance they win the no. 1 pick, no?
