Foreign leaders desperately jockeying for invite to Trump’s inauguration: ‘They’re all going crazy’

    https://nypost.com/2025/01/11/us-ne...to-trump-inauguration-theyre-all-going-crazy/

    excerpt:

A parade of foreign leaders is desperately angling to receive a coveted invite to President-elect Trump’s inauguration later this month.

By custom, foreign leaders don’t attend inaugurations of U.S. presidents, but Trump has thrown that precedent out the window, setting off the scramble after inviting Chinese president Xi Jinping to the Jan. 20 ceremony. Xi has already turned the offer down, with a top emissary expected to attend instead.

But many others are burning up the phone lines to their agents in Washington D.C. — demanding access, sources told The Post.

“They’re all going crazy. Chile, Peru, Nigeria, Mozambique,” said one registered foreign agent, who added the leaders “were champing at the bit to attend.”

For most, the answer is likely no.

“I tell my clients the truth. You’re not going to be able to go. If you’re Costa Rica, there is just no way you get invited to this inauguration. What is the value add? You are not bringing business or major companies from your country.”

Oh noes! The Zuckman and Bezos wanna be space man stepped out of line. time to punish them. Of course they stepped out of line. they are not afraid of the corrupt democrat establishment and Lena Khan coming after them. So much for the holier than thou Khan not pushing big tech breakups harder. She is busy forcing companies like Spirit Airlines and Red Lobster into bankruptcy because 'its bad for competition'.
And where is Apple? Oh wait. They are compliant and did not speak against the establishment. They can continue their anti-competitive practices for now.
What is there in Amazon to break up?

Meanwhile, Musk is busying building the largest empire the world has ever seen. He is destroying the communication businesses...like can people not see how big this is? He has already destroyed the space business. And this is before he links his AI business with X and Tesla.

"Corrupt democratic establishment" lol is hilarious while Trump is openly taking bribes in the open. You just throw random buzz words you hear on Twitter

I wonder what can go wrong when you allow hedge fund trust fund babies to staff your entire administration. What a utterly corrupt piece of garbage

The point is that one is a contribution for someone that is IN office and one is for someone that hasn't been in office for years.

I don't think that Bezos is really "buying" anyone...... I do question whether someone like Bezos should be able to donate that kind of money to anyone's inauguration (regardless of party)... but whatever. It is smart business by Bezos, he can lose 100 million in his couch cushions and not know it.... and at worst it will be a good will gesture.

You dont think tech billionaires are donating millions to Trump in the hope of having current litigation against them go away?

Zuckerberg said in 2021 that the "greatest risk" facing Meta was the antitrust lawsuit that the government filed against them which is due to go to trial in April.

Zuckerberg shouldn't be allowed to openly bribe the government with donations
