I'm hyped and he may be the greatest basketball player of all time. Tremendous stretch for Jalen right now
It's feeling a lot more real this time, he's at 5 straight games now, and tonight is one of the best games he's ever played in his career.
There sure are a lot of children on this site. Who cares who’s the number 1 option as long as they are winning?!?
We can only hope that it's the case.. But he'll have those nights where nothings falling and not getting the calls. Just hoping it's an off night and not the norm during stretches..
As many on the board have already stated, playing faster with Amen on the floor and having Fred pound the ball a little less has seemingly unlocked Jalen—and not at the detriment of our other guys, either! Alpi plays better fast because he can abuse mismatches. Cam is a freight train when he gets to run. Dillon plays better fast because he has more open looks. Fred…doesn’t necessarily play better fast but having him be off-ball more and just be a veteran safety valve should’ve been his role from the start, in my opinion. And when Tari, Jabari, and Mcveigh get back, I hope we can keep the increased pace so that they can all benefit as well! But since this is a Jalen thread I just wanna reiterate: it’s so fun watching this version of Jalen MF Green!
We can argue about when the hot streak began, but I think it's unnecessary. If you want to pretend it was that far back, fine, but the facts are that there have been several bad games since then. No one can argue that he hasn't been VERY good in the last 5....so why not just stick with that?
Just because you shoot low FG doesnt mean you had a bad game. The games where Jalen shot low everybody on the team had a hard time scoring and they still won most of the time. Its what happens when you meet a good defensive team and gets focus of the defense your FG plummets. Why is your standard different for Reed Sheppard and Jalen Green? You keep saying Sheppard "played well" and should demand a trade when he never shot good his entire career but for Jalen you only look at his FG%?
If I say someone played well EXCEPT FOR SHOOTING, that's another way of saying they didn't play well overall. Point is, I know that his worshippers think every game is amazing, but I'm just looking for something more based in reality. He's had several games since OKC where he was overall negative in value. I'm not going to count those. That's why I suggested a more realistic start date, one no one would argue with....other than the cultists who think it started 4 years ago. I think we should just go with that to avoid unnecessary argument.
So based reality why do you keep saying Sheppard has played well and should demand a trade when he is 28% from 3 and 41% TS? Is that reality or fantasy?
Again you think Sheppard is playing well or is playing like a scrub? Answer the question based on reality. Remember you said if he isnt shooting well he is playing bad.
Okay, well since you apparently struggle with reading comprehension, I'll repost it for you. You take a comment out of context and attempt to force a different meaning on it and wonder why it doesn't work. When I say that Reed played well outside of shooting, I wasn't saying he played well overall....you can't play well overall with shooting numbers that bad....the point I was making, that apparently went over your head, was that he just needed to fix the shooting and he'd be fine.....NOT that he played well overall. Sorry but that's as basic as I know how to spell things out for you, hopefully you can figure it out this time. Good luck.
But how come you are arguing Jalen played bad just because he had low FG%? So Sheppard can play well inspite of his horrendous shooting but Jalen can't? You realize Jalen is better than Sheppard at everything right? Defense, rebounding, playmaking Jalen is better. So how can Reed play well despite his shooting but Jalen can't?
