We should all try to be more open to arguments that challenge our initial beliefs or ideological preferences.

A good practice for someone who trusts all things X would be to run tweets that make particular claims through an xAI “fact check” and consider the result of that before posting it here. I know it won’t happen as things stand, but maybe an integration of such a tool would encourage people to do that.

what are you worked up about, perhaps I can join you in your concern. Or I suppose I can try and go back in the thread and make sense of conflicting reports about email. But I spent a lot of time on a similar question yesterday (re: the $17 million LAFD budget cut versus the $50 million LAFD budget increase) without any satisfaction in resolving the dispute. So I'm not hopeful here.

My policy is generally to wait and see what the resolution is after the dust has settled.

In any case, seems we have a double standard here - where people bemoan that the left doesn't engage in critical thinking...meanwhile the right happily rejuritates anything without any critical thinking.
