I mean to be fair, the LA mayor didn't say the budgets weren't cut. She said something along the lines of the cuts wouldn't have made a difference in the impact of the fires. So the least she could have done was make a clear statement instead of leaving it up to interpretation.

Accountability matters. It's inexcusable that the mayor of LA was in GHANA while her depleted and underfunded fire department figures out which lesbian cross-dresser will fight the fires without functioning fire hydrants.

 

Sure seemed to me you were peddling a conspiracy theory about Newsom purposely letting fires engulf homes in the Palisades to make way for apartments there, and equating his government to communist regimes of the past in an attempt to make that outlandish theory seem more plausible.
