Having the highest shot rate and lowest assist rate on a team is an impressive tandem. He makes a move towards the basket and sees 3 or 4 people, and at no point does the thought "hey somebody should be open" ever enter his mind. Making an offensive move with the intention of possibly creating for others just doesn't seem to be within his capabilities.
As a player archetype I personally don't have much against Cam. He is essentially a 6th man type who can provide offense when the stars sit. No, he can't pass, but if he can score at around league average efficiency it's a perfectly good rotation player. However it feels so wasted because if he just have some semblance of court presence, he can be so much more. This is where his "problems" come in. Whether you want to call attitude or coachability or whatever. It's the thing that's preventing him from just grow as a player.
Last year, the problem was, "Cam's only 19 years-old". This year, the problem has changed. Now it's, "Cam's only 20 years-old". I wonder what the excuse will be next season? Any guesses?
That was once upon a time in Jalen Land. With Cam it is more about Maturity above anything else and Moving the Ball around. Age does not matter because you can be a 60 year old arsehole.
Dude, I am almost at the end with him.... Then I realize he is only 20 years old. He has so much growing up to do and potential to go along with it. His ceiling is incredibly high, people that know basketball can easily see it. He is a chucker. A ball hog. He has all the tools to be come all around player, even better than some project him to be if he just honed it and wanted to learn and not mope around feeling sorry for himself. I am just afraid that it won't be in a Rockets Jersey. He is for sure going to be in a package for a superstar or a player that we need. There is no doubt in that.
I'm not going to be too judgmental just yet, given that attitude was one of his big issues going into the draft. His low draft position means he will carry a low cap hold after his 4th year, so there's no hurry for the Rockets to make a decision on him. But it was disappointing that you can turn on a random game this year vs. last year and you can't tell which Cam is which. Every other youngster has at least done or tried to do something more this year. He's the only one doing the same stuff.
That's all you have to say for the exceptionally stupid basketball decisions he makes on the court during games?
It is scary that one decade after Royce White the mental illness aspect has merely improved minimally.
What does Udoka disagree with? I'm not talking about the look on Cam's face, his attitude, him bumping into anyone, being dissatisfied with anything. blah blah blah. That's what Udoka disagreed with when asked about Cam. This is strictly about some of the clownish, stupid things Cam does while playing basketball. But you don't want to address that because you can't defend him. You're trying to hide by using Udoka as a shield. In your case, I guess completely avoiding a legit debate is the best option when you'll lose.
OH is that what this post that says cam has a bad attitude is about? hmm. Truth is Cam doesnt have a bad attitude and all the idiots who were proven wrong in this post are now coming out in force since he had a bad game just to **** on him to save face. some of you guys are shameless ****ing losers with no life. Gotta create some entertainment by ******** on a 20 year old second year player who barely gets minutes.
There you go again. All you can do is rant and ********** name-call. That's all you got. You are empty.
Every team wishes they had a dead-eye scorer- someone who can legitimately say, "fk everyone, get out of my way," and just score... off the bench. Cam, isn't that, yet
