Depends on what you think of Salazar and who Dana's able to get in FA/trade with Caratini's money. Would you rather add an impact everyday bat like Santader and not worry about the if Diaz gets hurt scenario, or go with a lesser OF for a full season. My thinking is even if Diaz was to be injured Dana can trade for a Caratini/Jansen type catcher if need be.

Disagree with this. Getting Santander and not having to give up prospects is big. Remember last year when there weren't any bats that were nearly as good as Santander at the deadline available in a trade? Odds of finding a catcher as good as Caratini at the deadline is much better than finding a bat as good as Santander at the deadline. Remember when Click traded for Vazquez at the deadline? I would expect Dana would be able to trade for a guy like this at the deadline IF Diaz was to be seriously injured.
Yeah, then other potential future employees see how management treated their past employees and they decide to go to work for someone else rather than sign on there. I assume you were kidding but that would be an absolutely stupid way to handle the situation with Pressly.
