Gulf oysters are what you want if you're frying or grilling/roasting. Like you mentioned earlier there's a whole bunch of better ones to eat raw, but I won't turn up my nose at a dozen blue points on the halfshell.

Evangeline is great. For straight up seafood Clark's and Perla's are both fantastic.

You should try the oysters shrimp picante. Those are my go to.

The gizzards are ok but I usually go with the Boudain patty for an app.

I just took a picture of the Mr. Jurisich. One of their oyster boats docked in Moses lake. Eating dinner at the fine dining establishment of “The Fish Spot.” Not sure why they named a boat after a guy.....seems like bad luck. Every red I caught tonight was JUST under 20”.

Lol. I took my wife to The Fish Spot a few months ago after leaving Fetching Lab. She was like how the hell does anyone find this place??

I prefer the original over the picante.

They have good gumbo, as well. Not sure I've had the boudin.

It’s one of the few restaurants I can golf cart to, so I’ve sampled most the menu. The San Leon BLT is great when you’re a few drinks in.

HA!!! I actually ate my first one just the other day. In all honesty, I don’t think I had enough to drink. That being said, if you ever find yourself in Montreal, I swear this place makes a better baloney sandwich. http://top2000.ca/wilenskys/index.htm

Go to sunset lounge before Gilhooleys, pound a few $1.75 beers, then get a San Leon BLT.
I’ll add that to my bologna sandwich bucket list

all I caught tonight was trash fish, and my crab traps were empty. I feel like such a loser. H15 at Kanomwan is some of the best shrimp in town.

OK.....we finally made it to Pier 6 in San Leon yesterday, and I gotta admit, it was pretty darn good. I tend to be a bit down on Houston’s seafood scene (as well as their ITALIAN Italian food), but I’m itching to go back. Once they get their protected marina in working order, you guys will struggle to get seats because we’ll all be boating over. Best try it now.

I'll be damned if this wasn't some good weather for it. I have the shrimp, sausage, crawfish tails, and the chicken breast boiling with the roux ready to go in another hour or two. @Invisible Fan guess I'll have to take quite a few more steps...

Got me all excited, but the post was from 4 years ago and I guess maybe COVID got them because they apparently are no longer. :(
