Not everyone has to smile. Not everyone has to be emotional. Stop judging the dude. Do you want to be judged this harshly by your peers at work? Do you want people monitoring your every move? He missed a high five so what? It happens. There’s been no reports of him not happy. Jalen even posted a video of him on IG yesterday
It’s not even just the lack of a high five; the body language overall has been off lately. I’m a Cam fan and genuinely want him to succeed here, but it’s tough to understand how someone can’t seem happy when the team is winning. Even on the bench, he wasn’t cheering or showing much support.
He reminds me of KPJ. He gets that same crazy look sometimes and he's clearly moody as hell. Will he snap? No idea. But it wouldn't surprise me. It also wouldn't shock me if he harnassed that energy and became all NBA. The dude has an edge to him. I see what you're looking for, and this ain't that. Nice try...
Rockets staff attest that KPJ was pretty docile and even charming at times to them when he is off his bad behavior. KPJ definitely had deeper issues, bipolar or mild personality disorder even, Whitmore is just sulky and passive aggressive to this point. Different.
until I hear it from a legitimate news source there’s no issue. His demeanor has been like this since high school
Yeah, hopefully so. Cam controls his destiny. He can be anything he wants if he can control his emotions.
I’m sure all murderers, mobsters, gangsters, unethical and greedy execs, and white collared criminals all have good sides to them. But this is beside the point. KPJ had a history of bad behavior. Why are some of you judging Cam based on body language? Are we judging all players like this? Again what has he done to be seen as a potential criminal.
I am not sure the Rockets are the best address for psychological help but they sure could have built a psychological facility with that kind of money. For athletes in that area.
Im not looking for anything. Your statement is telling on itself. What has he done besides not reacting or acting the way you want him to act that speaks of a criminal element? Would you view other players that exhibit this behavior the same way? Jokic shows little to emotion. Moody and weird. Is he a criminal to you? What makes you deem Cam a potential criminal? Would you want someone to label you or your son a criminal for being moody? Stop playing stupid. You know exactly what you said. Have some accountability for an ignorant ass statement
His demeanor isn’t great. We are likely to trade for a perimeter scorer over the next couple years. We also have Reed, Jalen, Amen. I really like the kid, but it may be fortuitous timing with these injuries to let him play quite a bit and maybe see where his trade value is in February.
He reminds me of KPJ. Young, talented, moody immature guard wing type for the Rockets who wasn't ready for it all. Recency bias if anything. We all know how that worked out. I don't think Cam will go down that road, but none of us knows for sure. Including you.
Bias for sure. You have no reason to connect the two. Absolutely none especially when one has no history of immaturity or unprofessionalism. It’s about how you perceive and judge certain people in absence of any evidence or facts due to a longheld belief. Why is one considered a criminal whereas others are given a pass? Unfortunately many in this world see the world like this.
Cam Whitmore does clap for his teammates doing well playing. Jalen Green shooting Game Winning Free Throws against GSW. Cam was signaling quiet down crowd, Jalen needs quiet on his Free Throws. Ime Udoka playfully pushed Cam Whitmore fell to his chair, funny moment, to the bench pregame before his Statement Words. Cam was upset about the G League stint, Cam wants to be valued better on the Rockets Rotation. Feel more involved. Against the Wizards Aaron Holiday fell on the floor Cam Whitmore ran to Aaron Holiday. He loves his teammates. Only his minute role needs to increase, heavy role for him. A real 6th man role 27 minutes, 18 shots a night. Cam is 20 years old on a Rookie Deal. Let him mature and learn.
