Pacific Palisades ran out of water at 3am. The fire department got their budget slashed, in the meantime Newscum managed to misplace 24 billion dollars?     Aside from politics:

    I was having a conversation about this today over lunch.

    With all the ubiquitous sensors available today and drones and all the other tech we have, shouldn't it be possible to have much better early warning and early response systems when it comes to fire outbreaks in certain typically endangered areas?

    I'd be interested in what experts like @rimrocker think about this.

    This fire is Gavin Newsom's fault. And the people fighting the fire lack resources (water) and competent leadership (apparently top 3 people at LA fire department are cross-dressers). Shocking level of incompetence on display.
