I agree - I guess what I am saying is that he can certainly put troops there and then claim he owns it.

I hope he doesn't do that, but he is capable and could do that and it is even likely that he would get away with it. No one is going to push US troops out. There are of course diplomatic consequences but he doesn't care about those.

 

Yeah but the US invading wouldn’t start a land grab by every country in the world? If China sees the US taking territory what do you think China will do in South Asia. Putin in the rest ex USSR territories. Africa would be a blood bath. Literally WW3.

Believe it or not and not to sounding arrogant but the US and to some lessor extent the Western countries have been the balance in the world without its power through NATO and the US military world war 3 would have already started. We are the deterrent to evil conquers of the world. If become one of them then the world is ****ed. It is what these followers of Trump can’t get through their skulls. They think it is funny

Trade deficits, not subsidies like Trump wrongfully claims them to be, occur when the demand for products and materials overweight the demand for Our products. Do you know why there is a trade deficit with Canada? It is not automobiles that make it. It the demand for energy and natural resources Canada has. Putting a tariff on them will make it more expensive for the average person in the north east. The demand for Canada’s fresh water, natural gas, oil and electric power will still exist. We are already seeing threats by Canadian politicians that they will do the same or refuse to sell them to the us.
