I honestly thought his sulking this last game was about wanting to play more since he's at home. Probably had friends and family in the stands.

Sometimes attitude is harder to fix than aptitude.

LOL I assume that you are not totally serious. But honestly, I think our DHO sucks. It rarely succeeds at the first try. Either the guy can't get open after he gets the ball or there isn't good angle or spacing for the hand off. So they have to reset and try again or try something else. It wastes the shot clock and often results in rushing a bad shot as time is running out.

Indeed, but it takes a coach that can reach him, usually guys like that feel frustrated because they can't understand, someone that can sit down, explain it, talk peer to peer and tell him the plan, would help.

Now, he may not agree with the plan but at least he would understand it. Clearly he is worried about his next contract and being somewhere that is holding him back, and that is true, he is being held back here......because there are like skilled players that are older, not better, but have seniority.

So, he may want out, but the Rox, shouldn't bend, just explain, and give him minutes as he earns them - it seems he wants to be THE DUDE, and maybe he is......but you have to find that out before you move him if at all.

Cam has had poor body language since he was drafted. I commented on it numerous times last year when he rarely showed any support for the team.

He strikes me as a guy that much rather get 20ppg on a tanking team than contributing to wins. Hopefully I'm wrong but the writing on the wall is starting to show...

Grass is greener syndrome. A guy who is old and expensive who would be a rental and isnt currently leading a team to ish is somehow better than a high potential youngin who is cheap as heck and can end up being melo.

I don't think showing support for your teammates when you're on the bench is asking for all that much in terms of positive team dynamics and culture, especially if you're an unproven rookie (or now an uproven second year player)...

but hey call me feminine or whatever.

Maybe, but usually a coach or someone needs to break it down for guys like him, guys who seem to be worried about their next contract etc...He isn't stupid, he can see himself being limited here unless we trade a bunch of pieces.....

This is what a lot of us have been talking about in you can't have 7-9 young guys developing at once, not enough playing time to go around.....

I don't know what Cam will become but he has a special aura about him that screams Kobe etc...a confidence and fierceness and those guys can sometimes become superstars...of the highest oder.

So, the Rox need to find out, they already know Sengun is going to be a good to great player, not a superstar, Jalen will be a decent to good player -not a superstar, etc...and are figuring out the rest.....

He will get his chance, bad teams would trade him before they find out.......got to find out.

I see Cam as a guy that is super smart, and wants to be great, but is currently being blocked, or feels he is......they need to agree on a plan for him....Ime needs to be in his ear and have an open door for him to vent his frustrations.

If we're going to have an open and honest conversation about Cam and he's potential greatness, I'm going to need to see more than the ability to score the basketball.

For me, he's leagues closer to Carmelo Anthony than he is to Kobe Bryant in terms of contributing to wins, which ultimately what I constitute as "greatness".

Both Amen and Jalen are more explosive. Clearly...

Cam is explosive in his own way with him being a freight train who also can fly. Just not as much of the lateral shiftiness that Jalen and Amen have.

If you have Cam's strength and Jalen's shiftiness you have Ant.

No doubt. At his current style, his absolute best case scenario is being Carmelo-lite and even that's a big stretch considering how refined of a one on one player Carmelo was (even early on). I'd say closer to a Corey Maggette than Carmelo...

His style of play is not a high-level winning brand of basketball. He just completely lacks team basketball concepts and unfortunately I don't think it is just an age thing. Does he have a lot of potential as a scorer? Absolutely! I think the most likely outcome for Cam is we end up trading him to a tanking team and he ends up scoring 20 ppg + for them and clutchfans collective feels like we traded him too soon (after his individual success), but long term (6+ years) he struggles being a 20+ ppg scorer as a starter on a legit playoff team

I think all this Cam body language stuff is overblown. He came into the league super young, played about 20 minutes a game last year, and played great. He was around 22 minutes a game at the end of the season. The last game he goes 21/6/5 and looks like he has found his spot. His reward this year was sitting on the bench.

He did what we wanted him to do last year and then was relegated to the bench. Sure his play this year was bad in the beginning but that's true for everyone on the team. The defense talk is silly. Jalen and Jabari and probably Sengun have all been sat due to defense. It's not different with Cam.

There is no way in hell we should trade him. That would be idiocy. He's 20 years old and has five more years before he will get near his prime. He will be so much better in five years than now.
