5x5 Club potential, some of the players who are in the club are: Dr.J, the Iceman, the Admiral, the Dream, AK47, Wemby.. The Dream, AK47 and Wemby are the only ones who have done it multiple times. There were only 23 times "5x5" stat line performance since 1972. The list says it all....At this point, I would say Amen's floor maybe AK47. Ceiling? You tell me.
All depending on his jumper coming along as even the best of them lose athleticism over time.....Father Time and all.
I think the shooting will come in time he already is very comfortable taking mid range shots and floaters. His biggest issue will prob be health I havent seen an uber athletic player have a long and productive career without falling off since Lebron.
If he had been starting all year, he'd be top ten already. He might get there this year now that he has gotten his chance. If he starts the rest of the year, he will be first team defense average 20 points or so the rest of the way with 10+ rebounds and 5 assists. We wanted a superstar, we got one.
for the 7 games he started this season he's averaging 65% TS, 18 points on 12 shots, 73% FT% almost 4 FTs a game, 11 rebs, 1.7 steals, 2 blocks 6 wins 1 loss 4 double doubles +11.6 BPM, 14.1 NET RTG
He's by far the best prospect on the team, and makes the 3yr torture worthwhile. His motor and athletic ability are just insane, like all-time level. Couple that with an elite feel for the game, anticipation and ball tracking, and you get a truly elite player. He's already at a 1st team all NBA defender level, and he's just a sophomore. Even with his poor shooting and shaky handles, he's able to be effective on O by doing all the other things insanely well. If he develops a consistent middy and gets the right corner 3's above 35%, he's going to be a top 3 wing in the league.
There is no ceiling. If he gets a shot and his has been showing pretty dramatic improvement, no one could stop him offensively and he's already one of the best defenders in the NBA.
There are parts of his game that are reminiscent of AK47. A big difference, though, is his that his overall athleticism is much higher. He's already producing at AK47-like levels and he's barely more than a rookie in terms of games played. So I think his floor, given health, is honestly already higher than Kirilenko. Personally, I think his floor is something like a cross between AK47 and Iguodala--combining their best traits. So when he reaches his peak seasons, that would be something like (adjusted for today's higher pace) 18, 9, and 5 with 4 stocks on over 50% shooting, around 30% from three on a couple of attempts a game. Ceiling if he adds a jumper and keeps getting better as a ballhandler/playmaker--MVP contender? One of one, there are no comps anymore because these guys are so rare, unique, and crazy-talented?
