Yes, cuz saying that the Texans have a 500% better chance of winning than UT does against Ohio State is trolling. Glad you are guaranteeing an Eagles win. Will make the game an even more enjoyable watch knowing you will be on your knees praying the Pack doesn't roll.
I have been very critical of this season's Texans team. I think they stink. They are yet to put in a complete game. Coaches around the league have deciphered CJ and Slowik. They stink. The defense is solid overall. BUT, there is a possibility, a chance, that they "get it together" at least somewhat in the playoffs. If OL gets properly reconfigured, CJ gets he head on straight, and Slowik gets creative and less predictable, maybe, just maybe they win a game or two. On the other hand, they could continue in an offensive funk and get blown out. I am going to venture to guess that there is a small possibility that they surprise everybody.
our best shot is Mixon and the run game get going, and the defense makes one or two game-changing plays
The 2012 Ravens did exactly what you are describing. They limped into the playoffs and caught lightning in a bottle. The precedent is there.
The likely scenario (in my head) is that they have a game where they come up with some surprises and are fired up, they can beat LA. Then they face KC and predictably they get outclassed and outcoached, it will be another easy victory for KC. Will I be happy with that outcome? probably not, but at least winning a game isn't bad.
The 2012 Ravens were better than the 2024 Texans. The 2007 and 2011 Giants would be the only real examples of a team as bad as the Texans winning a SB. Those teams had a point differential of 22 and -6, respectively, and were the only teams to win that weren’t 50+. The vast majority were 100+. Texans are at 0, which would make them the 2nd worst team of all time to win.
What does that have to do with the 2024 Texans? I edited my post - there’s only been 2 teams win a SB with a point differential under 50. Both the Giants teams. 2024 Texans would be the 2nd worst team of all time to win.
People are underrating the Horns chances. It should be a good game. As should the Texans vs the Chargers As should Philly vs Green Bay Teams that turn the ball over less will probably win. All these teams are close in talent level.
The Texans will have the defense and the home crowd to their advantage. Just not sure the offense can do their part though this could be an ugly, 3 yards and a cloud of dust game from both sides so the odds might be even
