I am well qualified if that’s the benchmark. Just don’t know if my wife will let me lose money on plane tickets to go work out of State part time

I'm missing something? Reed hit 17 shots, 8 threes and 4 free throws. How did he score 49 and not 46. Maybe it's late and I'm making a dumb mistake.

Was the scorekeeper sent to the G League as well for more reps?

Dude, you're just a hater. Please stop!

Seriously though, I assume he scored 49 but they messed up his made shots. That is, unless the Vipers didn't really score 125 points.

I'm excited for Reed, so excited that he hit 7 free throws according to the math. That's a season's worth on the Rockets. To my surprise, he only hit 4, or a half season's worth with the Rockets.

In the NBA G League, players typically take only one free throw on most shooting fouls prior to the final two minutes of the fourth quarter (and overtime). That single free throw is worth the same number of points the shooter would normally receive (e.g., two or three). During the last two minutes of the fourth quarter (and overtime), however, the G League reverts to the traditional NBA rule of shooting multiple free throws. This “one-for-two” (or “one-for-three”) rule was implemented to speed up the pace of play.

For the past few years, the G-League's been experimenting with what they call the "one-free throw rule" where you take one free throw for the violation whether it's an and-1, a 2-shot foul, or a 3-shot foul.

    From here:

One Free-Throw Rule: One free throw worth one, two or three points will be awarded in the event of any foul that would typically result in one, two or three free throws being shot under standard NBA rules; will not apply during the last two minutes of the fourth quarter or the entirety of any overtime period.

In Reed's case, his free throw shots were :

    2nd qtr @ 10:39 1 FT for 2 points
    3rd qtr @ 06:32 1 FT for 2 points
    3rd qtr @ 05:05 1 FT for 2 points
    4th qtr @ 02:25 1 FT for 1 point (tech)

Reed was 17-33 FGs and 8-19 on 3's. So he hit 9 2's and 8'3s for 42 points. Add in the 7 points from his 4 FT's and you get 49 points.

FTs count 2 points each.....in the GLeague, except for Tech fouls.

LOL of course Reed is genuinely brilliant. That three has such a quick release… beautiful.

Reed definitely confirmed one thing for me this evening: that so many of you have such horrible, instant gratification driven assessments of our players.

    Horrible assessments of Reed
    Horrible assessments of Jalen
    Horrible assessments of Alpi
    Horrible assessments of Dillon
    Horrible assessments of Jabari
    Horrible assessments of Fred.

Happy reminder to keep ignoring a whole lot of your idiotic posts.

Why is it that Reed play with so much confidence in summer and G league, but he look so timid and hesitant to shoot in regular games?

    I think it's a combo of a few things...

Talent level of opponents and teammates
Not wanting to mess up a winning team
Not wanting to step on toes
Playing sparse minutes and not given a chance to acclimate within a game

In Summer league and Gleague none of these things really come into play and all things that I believe will eventually fade away on the NBA level.

The body language and attitude between him and Cam is night and day. Sadly this prob why Cam fell to the doghouse.

Reed needs to play more PG on the Rockets, and not play SG as a 6'2" Ryan Anderson.
