At this point his struggles were clearly more about confidence than skill. He's still not ready to be a "good" NBA player yet, but he's far, far better than he overmatched scrub he's often looked like.

He turned 20 not long ago and he's a very smart player. Coming in to run the point for 6 minutes or so at a time for a team competing at the top of the conference is a really difficult situation. If he was playing 25-30 minutes a night for the Wizards we'd probably see more of what we saw tonight, with plenty of low points and screw ups as well.
