I'm not actually mocking you, just a "gif" to indicate the likelihood, as you probably surmised, of either player you mentioned being traded.
I'd rather Kings keep winning (just not as much as the Rockets) so we can kick the can down the road in the offseason between pursuing him or Booker. If they collapse now and become eager to trade him, Spurs probably pounce on him right away which I would hate. We can't trade Jalen until the offseason anyway. FVV will be off the books and we will have more options.
Yeah regarding Fox vs Booker if we get Fox he will be cheaper than Booker, Ant or whoever other max guy because he can only make the max not the super max.
No, bruh.... I TOTALLY get your point. I was saying (1) no way the Kangz do it & (2) would need more value for trading Shepp (20 year old rookie vs. 25 year old 3 year player). Eliis literally turns 25 tomorrow. LOL Ellis' 3 point % is what we anticipated from Shep. I think Shep can get there.
The Rockets should never trade Jalen like a lot of you guys want. We have to trade Fred. We can get better talent with that $40+ million. Jalen is figuring it out as the season goes. Booker don’t have the sauce like everybody thinks he does.
Go watch Phoenix games again. Book is basically playing point for the Suns. His last 4 games, he had 9, 9, 10, and 10 assists. Tyus Jones is on the court playing about 2 quarters but it's Book running the offense.
I think the issue with Booker vs. Fox is that Booker can be a playmaker but that's not his natural role. He's forced into that role because that's all the Suns have. Meanwhile Fox is a natural PG who on this team would immediately step into the FVV role and just be a lot better. While Booker on this team would still require the Rockets to acquire a PG of some sort, given that his huge salary means FVV is almost certainly gone in this scenario. I feel I'm coming around to being fine with the Rockets trying to get either player this deadline though. I think there's enough talent here where adding either Booker or Fox would make this team second-tier contender. Which is enough to push the chips in.
No I think it means the players know that after a coach gets canned in December that it’s an indication in February alot of players are likely to get traded. Firing him when they did enticed the players to care a little more about either wanting to stay out of trades or be more desirable to be included in a trade (depending on the player and their desire to stay or go). I personally think Mike Brown is a good coach but doesn’t bring much that any 2nd in command coach cannot. So I think it was probably a good move to can him when they did.
In terms of winning basketball games, are we so sure that Fox is better than Fred? You think Udoka thinks so? I’m not so sure. Fred brings a lot, and has shown the ability to adapt as an off-ball shooter. I honestly think the Rockets would be more likely to swing a deal for Zion…
