I'll start. Today I noticed a green earring on my patio dog. Did the caterpillar have a sense of humor? Ever seen a Monarch chrysalis hanging in such a a cute spot?

That’s a striking photo with the colors. Nice.

Tell me more about patio dogs.

Thanks. Well, my patio dog doesn't bark, run away, chew anything up, bite anyone, dig or poop in the yard, and never tramples through my garden. I don't need to take it to the Vet, and it doesn't need shelter from scorching heat or freezing weather. I don't have to feed it or take it to a kennel if I go out of town either. I can't teach him tricks, but if I put him in the sun for a few hours then his lantern will light up at night. :p

Now if I can get a shot of the Monarch butterfly coming out of the chrysalis hanging from his ear that would really be cool. I hope it doesn't die if it freezes.

Monarchs are supercool, and are becoming more endangered by the year.

Read up on them, and their migration.

I had a couple of house-crashing buddies back in Houston who should have been nicknamed "patio dog". Deb's statue is obviously more useful than they were.
