Rather than promoting Jerod Johnson or some other random QB coach, and since we cant pull someone over laterally, I would like a HC that has been fired to come here for another shot (kinda like Kliff Kingsbury).. Was hoping for Dibol or McDaniels, but looks like they are staying. What other offensive HCs have been let go? I feel like they are all Defensive-minded so far.
Jerrod Johnson (even though I want to move away from the Shanahan Scheme) Grant Udinski (Vikings Assistant OC/QB Coach) Nate Scheelhaase (Rams Passing Game Specialist) Aubrey Pleasant (Rams Assistant HC/Passing Game Coordinator) Justin Rascati (Bengals Passing Game Coordinator) Note: I don’t know many Coordinators. I’m basically going off up and coming assistants and the scheme they’re in.
Absolutely agree, I want a former HC. If Doug Pederson becomes available hire him, or pull Frank Reich off the couch. Reich was dying to draft CJ when he was with the Panthers.
Bobby will be back. In the unlikely event he’s gone, they’ll promote Jerrod Johnson. Of course JMO. Spoiler #Jets HC search so far: - Former Titans HC Mike Vrabel (interviewed) - Former NFL HC Ron Rivera (interviewed) - Bills OC Joe Brady - Broncos DC Vance Joseph - Chiefs OC Matt Nagy - Steelers OC Arthur Smith - ESPN analyst Rex Ryan - 49ers QB coach Brian Griese - Vikings DC Brian Flores - Lions DC Aaron Glenn - Texans OC Bobby Slowik #Jets GM search so far: - Chiefs' Mike Borgonzi - Rams' Ray Farmer - Eagles' Alec Halaby - Thomas Dimitroff (interviewed) - Jon Robinson (interviewed) - Jim Nagy (interviewed) - Louis Riddick (interviewed)
Browns fire Dorsey after one year Seahawks fire Grubb after one year Raiders fired their 1st year OC during the season And we’re over here hoping to muster just a FG in second halves.
You do NOT want Doug Pederson. His philosophy is the players have to make plays. He doesn't make adjustments. He doesn't change his plays for his personnel. It only works if you have an elite OL, which the Texans do not have.
Glad we got the win, but I have no clearer picture today then I did last week on if this offense can do anything consistently. A small sample size of CJ, I did like him putting that back foot in the ground and letting it go, he seemed to have confidence. I still didn't see any real adjustments in the second half and with a coach like Harbaugh who is excellent at adjustments makes me nervous. I am going to watch this game with a chill vibe, not expecting too much and knowing were still in a rebuild, but can we win this game, hell yea we can, we can also get the doors blown off or win on a last second FG. The one spot I was excited about was D Pierce, my man showed up and showed out. I will be happy if we play a clean game in all 3 phases, the coaches make adjustments, and we go out and play the way we are capable.....do that and I am fine with what the scoreboard reads
Said it before, but would consider Klay Kubiak - current NO OC (probably made redundant with new coach)
