Because of that, I can see the OL Coach getting the axe first and Slowik receiving a short leash with the organization going into next year.
Watching our sister programs like the Vikings and 49ers run identical Z concepts is frustrating. We can't block it. "Entry level" Akers just scored for the Vikings.
He looks like the kid who sat next to me in mandatory computer class, HS 1991, and then asked if I had any smokes after school
That pull really sums up the whole season, doesn't it? I mean, I know I'm only a tangential Texans' fan, but like many of you, I had high hopes for this year. But now I don't get all the posts (in other threads) about jockeying for playoff positioning. We/you are going anywhere with this kind of offensive line. It's just a question of when you get spanked: first week of playoffs or second week of playoffs. /debbiedowner
This OL looks night and day different with Juice playing. He's underrated as a player and he deserves to be starting. All we need is another guard and we should be set.
Did you see his run protection especially on that run Pierce broke through? That was 100% juice making that hole! Hes so underrated
Maybe RG is his spot? I was curious if they were going to put him back at LG and have Howard go back to RT. (I'd rather have Howard match up against TJ Watt should we play Pittsburgh instead of Fisher). Or do what they did and just have Juice replace Green. The line looked good. The running game was as consistent as it's been all year. It was against the t*** but hopefully it'll carry over to the playoffs.
Its genuinely crazy how bad Green made the entire OL looks. I pray to God we never see him again in a Texans jersey. I hope we keep Juice at RG and draft another G. Juice deserves to be a full time starter. Give him a full season at G and let him develop. Hes only 24! Juice created the hole that led to Pierce running for that TD
On Pierce’s TD run, the TV play-by-play credited Tunsil with a key block, but from the replay, I’m not sure he deserves it. It looks like Tunsil runs past his block, though it’s hard to tell from this angle.
Tunsil got enough of his man to keep the backside guy from making the stop after a 5 yd gain. Scruggs and Patterson opened up the hole.
Heard them say he played 10 games in college at RG. His second position. It all goes back to hurting the feelings of the hierarchy of this O line that hasn't earned anything.
