Weird, because if someone tried to catch someone on fire, I would treat that very differently. Just like somebody with a knife or gun. But sure, murder everyone you think is a danger.
@Salvy @AroundTheWorld @CrixusTheUndefeatedGaul These people are crazy , it’s a dude And New York is not safe with lots of lunatics And nobody will choke them out now
So this dude stabbed someone over getting cut in line? All while dressed as a women? Woke people crazy bro...
I think the law is quite clear in that if someone is committing a criminal act, especially one where there is potential for injury to others, citizens have the right to protect themselves and others from harm. Neeley had already committed multiple felonies starting with aggravated assault - a threat or attempt to inflict offensive physical contact or bodily harm - and has threatened to kill multiple bystanders. Those who intervened did so protected by law. That's one of those FAFO situations ..... do so at your own peril.
You are basically arguing that any time someone gets upset and has an schizophrenic episode, it's justifiable to kill them. If you live in a city - there are many times you encounter someone who claims they are going to kill you. I knew in all those situations that they were not serious. Imagine if I had decided to kill them first under your logic. I have lived in NY for 25 years. I have encountered many of these situations. From what I have read and what witnesses described - Neely was hungry and upset no one was giving him money for food and that's when he went on his tirade. He didn't deserve to die for that. Not only that, the chokehold was excessive and done well beyond the point necessary, and damage was done to his neck showing the force used was excessive.
