Losing Jabari and Eason's status being unknown changes my perspective on a trade. I think we should pursue Booker now, if they don't want to deal we try to get Jimmy for very cheap. He will opt into his $51M next year so I do not want to add too much to this deal going out as far as draft capital.

Boston easily top 2 team in the league and we have lots of players out. It was an expected loss.

If only Butler was 10 years younger. He'd be a great player under Ime.

Yeah but the Rockets had their 2 $300 million franchise cornerstones in Green & Gun & FVV the $40 m table setter out there.

Not to mention, Celtics are no Jaylen Brown and on 2nd half of B2B

Anyone feeling that Green&Gun & role players are enough?

Green is an occasional starter and not even that during November when he averaged like 16-17 ppg.

You can virtually never count and plan with him....

That should answer your question.....Sengoon is coming along but you see that when he is putting defensive effort under Udoka, his Offense is suffering.

Except Brown played like the Finals MVP against Dallas and against Pacers.

Would y'all do a straight FVV swap for Jimmy? It's tempting to me, but I really don't want to be on the hook for an extension.

If Jimmy would waive his player option for next year, yes.

I'd be fine with him picking up the option. I just wouldn't want to commit further unless it were on a much lower number.

What does it matter? It’s not like we’ll have cap space next year regardless.

I'm not really worried about cap space. FA signings rarely happen these days. We just need flexibilty and we will have a ton. We can create max room without even trading Jalen. We will improve this team via trades. FVV is an expiring that I don't want on the team next year. If we can't trade him for an expiring or in conjunction with getting a long-term fix to our backcourt, it is preferable to just let him walk.
