Jalen with Bam looks good.. -- CAA likes Jalen for NYK I think, that is after Knicks got KAT[a miss for Houston]... they would want to try out the Nova connection first with Mikal for two seasons -- then an exchange of Mikal and Jalen happens [right after JG's trade kicker expires] (Now watch the ED segment of the fan base continue to shake their fist and say that they have better trade options! LOL) for sure -- 100 percent for sure it will
Neither team really is markedly better cap wise. I can see New York eating the poison pill if their managerial totem is as high on Jalen as Erik Spolestra is, but Im not sure Jalen Green and Tom Thibodeau are a great combo. Jalen would have more freedom in Miami with a coach who can isolate his strengths and create an offense that suits the existing team - if anyone can do it Spoelstra is the guy.
Tibs might want to see how Jalen improves in defense first, hence the delay in trading.. but if Miami swoops in first then it's all good -- I too believe that Spo would be that guy
Let's be serious, no one is trading for Jalen because they want Jalen. If anyone agrees to a deal he's involved in, the Rockets will have to add draft picks to make up for that team eating his bad contract. i could see forcing the Suns to take him. The Suns get a proven tank commander and their picks back.
I mean FVV actually does drive a lot. He just stops half way to the basket or go in and get out because he's not really capable of finishing through contact like a star player would. I do agree that there's definitely a lot of subjectivity to how a drive is calculated. But if we're taking players who are comparable (at least the players I mentioned are some of those that have either been compared to Jalen or brought up as potential Jalen trades), there shouldn't be too much discrepancy. In the end, it shouldn't be where Jalen is vastly behind everyone else in terms of assist percentage. Even if you adjust a bit for the Rockets lackluster shooting, it's still way lower than what you want from a high volume player.
I just dont see the need for NY --- they are a solid team as-is and are sitting 3rd in the EC. No reports of turmoil or players being disgruntled. Im only feeding into the current rumor mill. Houston will be a player in every single 'star' that becomes available. If they're smart they will bide their time as there is no rush for Houston to do anything at all right now either. Just putting two and two together on spots that there may be some interest on both sides.
Hes not a great passer, hes just not a bad one either. Idc really about that though and wasnt interjecting with an opinion on his passing skills or lack thereof. Specifically, i wish Jalen could increase his drive attempts to 12+ per game. I'd love to see 15 but its just not possible on this roster with this offense. I do think 12 is doable and it fits in line with the majority here that wish he would convert some 3pt attempts to attacking the basket. I didnt look at and specific date data, but it does seem that recently hes taking much less 3pters and in recent games attempting more drives to the rim.
Duos are a good way for marketing with teams, like the recent Houston 'Terror Twins' NYK could have the 'Slash and Splash Buddies' with JG4/KAT
It is so much more difficult to post an image to this forum than anywhere else on the entire internet. Why?
Interesting how we have the 4th best lineup in the NBA with Fred and no Jalen, but 31st with Jalen and no Fred. Trade Jalen after this season and keep Fred. Maybe a better shooting guard, and Amen switching with the SG to backing up Fred could put us in the top 2. Trade Fred later if a better PG rises from our ranks, or one becomes available later.
Dude I literally never said the metrics don't exist, and this is the second time I'm telling you that I know the numbers exist. What's going on what are you doing here? Then irritatedly asking me why I didn't dig up stats to back up your claim? Do you wanna argue just to argue? Thanks for the talk dude but you're not yourself today. Let's try again another time.
