I think your list of options is far too thin.

We probably most need an all-star level wing who can create for self and others, take and make shots (especially in the crunch).

 

This team needs a closer. Someone you can give the ball to in crunch time in the 4th quarter that gets you across the finish line.

And I’m not sure anyone like that is available so we’re probably gonna have to stick with what we have. If that’s the case the Rockets MUST practice their 4th quarter closing time offense. Either commit to Sengun in the post or not.

 

Cam to be consistent

Consistent good play from Amen, Cam, and Adams off the bench is key to this years playoff run

Tari would help to. I just don’t see us trading this year

 

Consistent 3-point shooting around Alpi.

Alpi will draw the double teams and find the shooters.

Need to knock them down.

 

An upgrade over Jalen Green. A reliable scorer. Someone you don't close your eyes and hope for a prayer every time he dribbles the ball and shoots down the stretch.

Efficient, high volume scoring guard/wing with decent playmaking skills.

A legit perimeter closer and scoring drought buster is the biggest need for this team. By far.

 

Really good 2way players are more rare than you may think. They're not easy to acquire.

Honestly, it's easier for a young team to develop guys on their weaknesses on either side of the ball than to go out into the market to get them.

For this year, I wouldn't prioritize depleting assets or getting anyone that would play ahead of our young guys unless it's a star. I was leaning towards a backup center but it's not a huge concern.

Whoever we spend significant assets on needs to be a long term player for us.

 

If cam steps it up, he can come in when green is flailing. The need for a scorer isn't that pressing since our offense allows anyone to pop off

What we really need is an a back up pg so ime is playing fvv 40 mins. A back up center to sengun would b nice.

Adams can still play but I weary at our back up centers option if sengun is sidelined with anything

 

We need to get older.

 

Sengun's high school PG teammate that can unlock his goat-worthy potential... I'm sure his TS% could translate over here

 

This team needs "the guy". Just a bunch of guys right now.

You guys are still underrating him. The advanced stats and wins are staring you in the face and you still don't see it.

 

We are already second ranked defense why is the biggest need yet another defensive big man or defensive wing?

The biggest need is clearly a pg better than FVV.

 

He's need to take over more games then. Not sure if by design where no one on the team has pts over 20 but most casuals looking at sengun stat wouldnt consider him the guy.
