I'm not an expert on exploding Cybertrucks, but one would suspect you could rig a fuse to go off seconds after you've shot yourself. Or a timing device would also do. I haven't been following along too closely, but did the Cybertruck mostly contain fireworks or did it have anything anything else? I mean, if you're trying to do some damage, you wouldn't go in with some fireworks and/or gasoline. I still don't get what the guy was doing considering he, apparently, was a green beret, too. Load up a Cybertruck with fireworks and kill himself before they go off in front of a Trump building. Sounds like he was looking for one of those "self-immolation" headlines rather than actually killing people. So crazy.
Honestly, contrary to the New Orleans dude, it doesn't add up at all. If this guy was really so pro-Trump, why would he off himself like that?
Perhaps it had nothing to do with his politics. Sometimes people just do crazy things for non-political reasons.
the guy rented a Musk-mobile and killed himself at the front door of a Trump hotel before blowing up the Musk-mobile. Gotta think that's more than just a coincidence
He wasn't trying to create a bomb. He was trying to create a fireworks display. Dude was probably disturbed / depressed. His idols - Trump & Musk - now will forever know who he is.
Possible. Just a weird situation all around. The only (and most important) positive aspect of all of this is that nobody else got killed.
Some people got hurt, or could have gotten more hurt - so still an incredibly dangerous, selfish, and criminal act - although I suspect he will be lionized. Apparently he had an argument about infidelity with his wife at Christmas and hadn't returned home since. People in the military have all sorts of demons.
