Demand a trade lol. I still think Reed can turn it around. But try make some shots first before you demand a trade.

It’s crazy to me how we had to learn the hard way about handing the keys over to teenagers who played stupid basketball but the shield is held way up for Cam and now Reed. Cam, who played some of the stupidest basketball with no expectations and Reed who’s played some of the worst basketball.

Y’all can look me square in the eyes and tell me Cam’s mentality this last week isn’t a miracle of coaching and tough love. Sincerely believe he was about to not defend and chuck his way into the HOF by age 22 huh?

Or like, just maybe… the realignment, putting him in the right places has had something to do with him playing well? Building him up slowly?

Reed deserves that realignment too. Honestly he was kinda gifted minutes he didn’t earn and then played even worse than anyone could’ve reasonably projected. Hail Satan, we don’t have to watch these kids suffer through playing time against adults anymore. Just have to suffer the childish antics of people who need their own attitude adjustments via social media.

People are honing in on demanding a trade thing, but he is correct that somehow FVV is getting 40mpg despite playing at a clear below-average level. If the Rockets are going to prioritize development, then Sheppard needs to play 20mpg. If they are going to win now, they should send him to the G-League and play Aaron Holiday more minutes and let FVV rest a bit. Playing FVV minutes like he's prime Harden is basically the move of a coach who doesn't trust anyone and only cares about the next win.

Just let the drama play out, it is more entertaining than siding with one camp.....

This dude was responsible for what is known as the Bobby Wars that saw a flock of casualties.......I don't have to remind you.

I was originally against sending Reed down to the G-League, but watching his offensive game - both tentative and then rushed when he does shoot, he would benefit from some high volume Reps in the G-League. I think his defense is already decent enough, he just needs offensive reps to rebuild his shooting confidence and develop his finishing bag. When he gets a screen or dribble hand off, he doesn't seem to have a plan A, B, or C when he comes around the screen going down hill.

I think reed’s issue is that he will not be a player who can get by offensively with instincts. He needs to deliberately develop his bag.

If he cant make wide open 3 point shots as "the best 3 pt shooter in NCAA history" then what can he do? Udoka is not going to play a defensive liability while trying to make the playoffs.

Over the last 5 games where he was given minutes he is 3/20 shooting.

Young players who stick would have flashed something by now.

Demanding a trade would be the only confident thing Reed has done as a rocket.

    rox aint stupid
they know they can send reed down anytime
    so think for once
y ain't they sending him down

it is because he is getting max reps in practice
and his jumper is very wet and they are seeing it in practice
and he is getting reps after practice shooting
and because they already know he would dominate gleague
they have decided he is getting more out of soaking in game action with his eyes
than he would playing game minutes at rgv
because they are seeing everything they want and need to see in his practice

    give it up

The 2024 draft was a historically weak draft. Reed would have gone more like in the 7-10 range in a normal draft. I think if he was pick 10 to a contending team nobody would be stressing that hard about him getting limited playing time in his rookie season. Saying a rookie should demand a trade over playing time is one of the dumbest things I've heard

That being said, I don't know why we haven't sent him to the G-League yet and when we have Tari and Amen back we absolutely should

It's not about Reed Sheppard, so you missed the point.

I know now, I've been reading through other threads now and seeing you say our 3rd in the west team has a horrible coach because FVV plays too many minutes or something
