The border has been an issue in the sense that it is used as a way to dehumanize the illegal migrant labor pool so capital owners can exploit them and do stuff like sexually assault them and not fear consequences because the illegal migrants are scared shitless to speak up from abuses. The constant flow of hate rhetoric and narrative that illegals are increasing crime rates in America is a intentional desire to dehumanize them so they can be abused easier. The idea that they will mass deport them is silly.
