He been Sacramento since he was a rookie he has had multiple coaches nobody has accused him of getting anyone fired before Skip to my Lou who isnt even playing or in Sacramento anymore. Skip is a close friend of Derozan who had been accused of getting Dwayne Casey fired and from Skip himself Brown told Derozan to go to the bench. Is it possible Derozan is the one who got Brown fired and then included Fox so he wouldnt look bad? Thats very possible and you notice Fox only talks about himself and doesnt even mention Derozan.
False, he has been above average 5 out of his 8 yrs in the league. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/f/foxde01.html PGs have an average TS of 55.3% https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask?q=average+ts%+by+position+this+season
?? True Shooting % 2017/18 - league average 55%, Fox 47% 2018/19 - league average 55%, Fox 54% 2019/20 - league average 56%, Fox 55% 2020/21 - league average 57%, Fox 56% 2021/22 - league average 56%, Fox 54% 2022/23 - league average 58%, Fox 59% 2023/24 - league average 58%, Fox 56% 2024/25 - league average 57%, Fox 57% https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/nba-league-average-ts-by-year-last-10-years https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/f/foxde01.html This is "elite TS"?
from what ive been reading, their fanbase seems to think he goes through these droughts of "not caring". They also seemed frustrated at unrealized potential, which i can see. This year is the magnified explosion of it all though, and its likely worse than ever, but not a new proposition from him. Dont get me wrong, for reed, cam and a couple picks im 100% making the trade, because he is a near perfect fit for us and our timeline imo. But it doesnt come without risk obviously. Adding Fox without losing any huge rotation players would be massive. Especially at our weakest spot on the roster. We would reduce BOTH FVV and Greens Minutes. Increase pace and play faster. Get another quality ball handler and creator. Get another person who can attack the rim. Fox Green Tari Amen Bari would be an insanely fun lineup to watch run the court. ... But we have the assets collection for one BIG move. Is this the one we are confident in bringing us a championship? Does it limit our future capability to make a championship defining roster move? Its a big decision to make,.
It's elite for pgs and Fox is a pg. Why are you averaging TS across all positions when centers and PFs dont shoot 3s and just dunk and layup? The TS% of centers is 61% TS thats just 1% lower than Steph Curry's career TS. So you think Steph isnt even elite?
Fox is not Booker or Giannis he is on the same level as Jimmy Buckets. I dont think he qualifies as the one big move at least if we both agree that we can get him for FVV and spare parts. Every consolidation trade carries a risk but the thing with Fox is he is young enough at only 27 where we can trade him if he doesnt work and we still have assets to still pull off that Booker trade using Fox. Like I think FVV, Sheppard, Cam and the 2025 PHX pick is already better than any other offer other teams can make. Lets say he sucks next year and Booker is available. We can trade Jalen (33M), Fox (37M) and all the remaining picks for Booker (53M).
he also shoots 48% from the field…hell, just 2 years ago he shot 51% from the field as a PG How are u just some mindless chucker when u actually hit your shots? people also talk about Fox’s shooting ability like he’s Westbrook or some sh*t…he’s a weak 3 point shooter, but unlike the bricklayers on our squad, he doesn’t need to be hot from 3 in order to score well or shoot a high percentage from the field
Yeah and theres even the Rockets curse. Doesnt matter how much of a shooter they are before they suck on the Rockets. LouWill, Covington, Ryan Anderson, Jabari, Brickpard, Jalen Green. FVV etc Jalen Green was a 38% 3 pt shooter in GLeague and FVV is a career 40% from 3 and now they are the brick bros. Brickpard was called the next Steph Curry now he is lucky to be the next Smush Parker. At least Fox will still score at a high rate even if his shooting gets debuffed.
yeah and he's aware enough of his 3 ball limitations that 3's only consists of 30% of his shots unlike our starting backcourt who think they're splash brothers half of their shots are from behind the arc
LOL unfortunately he might not even be available. Looks like Kings are gonna wait and see if Doug Christie fixes things. They also beat the Mavs by 10 and Fox with 33/6/6 including 42% from 3. Sometimes opportunity knocks just once.
if Fox isn’t shooting it well from 3, he is still likely to give u 25 points while making close to 50% of his shots overall and being clutch if Fred isn’t shooting it well from 3, u can expect 8 points on 3-14 shooting if Jalen isn’t shooting it well from 3, u can expect 15 points on 6-17 shooting
He wants out, he's been there 8 years, they've only made the playoffs once (?). One win over the Mavs is not gonna change that, and they won't make the playoffs this season for sure.
A partial list of current starting caliber PG's with higher career TS% than Fox: Steph Shai Haliburton Lillard Trae Brunson Kyrie Ja Garland Maxey Harden Simons Paul Poole Quickley Brogdon Gonna stop here, I don't get the impression evidence matters for you.
Majority of those are all stars or even HOF so what you're saying is Fox is in good company. But I remember you also called Lillard who is averaging 61% TS as "semi-washed" so maybe our standards are just different.
