I truly don't understand it. I know guards kinda have to take a lot of threes in today's game, but to me the "bare minimum" these days is like, 3. Maybe 4 at most. Why is this kid taking 8 three pointers per game? Make it make sense. In what world is JG's greatest strength his 3P shot? And yet he's #16 in the league in three point attempts. Why.
All 3 at home...shouldn't lose to a worn out Lakers team or the Mavs. Celtics yeah. But yeah...possible...not likely but possible. JMO
I’d drop basketball and start taking some judo martial arts classes in a heartbeat if I get thrown like that on hardwood floor. Does he weigh less than 100 pounds? wtf was that
Harden was actually pretty clutch the first few years in Houston. It's when he completely cut out the midrange and only did 3s and layups when his late game management started getting worse. The 3 and layups strategy works for a long stretch of games but the less time there is the more he shoulda went back to midrange.
I said it earlier in the thread so I apologize for sounding like a broken record, but Jalen’s shot selection is MADDENING, especially when he’s not on one of those ridiculous heaters. He could’ve easily finished the game with 25 points and a Rockets win had he just attacked the Miami defense in the final quarter. EASILY. And maybe he would’ve helped Bam foul out in the process. Instead he tanked both his efficiency and our chances of winning by shooting a ton of ill-advised threes, and the Heat aren’t even that built to stop someone with his speed and burst. Hopefully this game will be useful film room tape, because it sure sucked to watch for me
This game was lost because Rockets don’t know how to use Alpi as a decoy - and he’s becoming a black hole who is slow to make a decision once he gets ball in post - combine that with FVV playing and taking forever to set offense - you end up with JG Bari and Dillion all taking the similar type of shots and bricking the type of shots - pass coming out with less than 7 seconds on shot clock - forced to try and create something or jack a 3 can’t spread the floor cause teams don’t fear Alpi and can’t get to rim unless you use Alpi in PnR because if he’s at 3pt line his man still cheats to help at rim JG should of kept playing like he was in 2-3rd and taking the foul line jumper if he couldn’t get to the rim
FVV is the vet, how hard is it to inbound a ball with 5 seconds as a vet. Honestly, we can't keep both FVV AND JG next season. Our backcourt is just trash
Watching back the lil altercation there and cant help but be impressed by the discipline from both benches lol Not one dude from either bench jumped in. Those fines must be real heavy.
Amen is strong, coordinated, and big as ****. If there actually was a fight, I would be scared for Herro so I’m glad there wasn’t. Amen is usually the calmest guy on the floor so I definitely blame the officiating crew for letting it get out of hand, starting with Fred’s ridiculous ejection.
