For real. He's played in NBA games for barely 2 months. It's clear his confidence is shot. I think he'll have a post ASG weekend breakout.
Same concept as comparing him to Steph Curry. There’s always a few outliers, but it’s concerning at this point and to say he’s a future hall of famer is ludicrous. He’s a disappointment thus far any way you cut it. Castle, Clingan, Edey, Knect aren’t being sent to G-League. We’re not talking late first round pick, we’re talking 3rd overall pick in the draft and only discernible skill is shooting and he appears scared to do it. It’s not just me saying this…coaches keep pleading for him to be aggressive and shoot. Excuse me for having higher expectations from the 3rd pick in the entire draft!
Edey wasn't really on my radar, I wanted either Clingan or Knecht. Edey would flat out challenge Alpe for minutes. Clingan not so much, but would've been better than journeyman Jock or broken Adams. Knecht would've been pretty perfect here, given a similar start. Castle would've been an interesting selection too. I mean it was a bad draft, we're a good team with a lucky #3 pick and no need for a long-term project but they took Reed anyway. It's a shrug for me. Reed's been so bad. To his credit, I guess, I didn't believe he was a short-term selection at all and that is absolutely playing out. He's got a couple seasons to turn it all the way around but all the glazing folks did last summer is pretty funny now. Hopefully he figures it out and is part of Phase 3. Is he bust? Idk. That to me only means one thing: you were selected to play in the NBA and you're not good enough for the NBA. He's still got time on the clock. Is he good this season? Hell ****ing no. Reed Sheppard should play the rest of the GL season.

My theory is he got clamped up by Amen in his first practice and it had such a profound effect on his mental that he now projects that level of defensive intensity on everyone who guards him in games. Amen gave him the yips
It may be the worst draft in NBA history. Everyone says he was the third pick, so he should be better is being silly. He may not have been a lottery pick in a normal draft. I'm not a Reed hater. I predicted he wouldn't get enough minutes this year to make a difference and would be in RGV in 20 games. I was wrong about the 20 games, but I don't know why. He needs to be in RGV now.
