Except the coach is not treating this like an evaluation(? development) year. I agree that's what it should be, but why are we still evaluating FVV for 35+ minutes a night? Coaches need to be evaluated as well and Ime's rotations have sucked all year. Jan-Feb are going to show all the apologists that this is not a playoff team and it is mostly because we are not improving on offense. Unless something is done to improve our backcourt, we will be fighting for a play-in spot and will have wasted a half year of development for Amen, Cam, Jalen, Sengun, and Jabari to play together.

It wasn’t that game - the game that Eason went off was the OT loss but I agree with you that our starters played like ass and put us into too big of a hole.

I’m talking about the Warriors game where we lost 99-93. Freaking Steph and Donkey don’t play but we can’t stop Kuminga from scoring 33 points (nor could we stop Wiggins). That was a very discouraging loss.

I think he went away from Cam and Holiday too fast, got to find more time for the starters on back to back, especially when 2 rotation pieces are missing.....but if we have either Brooks or Tari we win tonight......we have a great team.

This seems a bit of an overreaction....

Just really can't get behind we are overachieving in spite of Ime.

I think everybody annointing this team a 1-6 seed and some even saying we will win 60 is an over-reaction to a great start that was mostly fueled by the Terror Twins. We have no idea when Tari will return, FVV slows the offense down to a crawl, and Jalen is still inconsistent. We are obviously a much better team when we play fast (even in the half court), but Ime continues to run out a slow, methodical starting five. It is time to take the training wheels off and play your young core together.

I'm not even sure of making it to the play in tournament. We need Brooks back and Tari too. Fred can't play consistently for 82 games, and Holiday can't carry the load for more than a few minutes.

Is Fred going to get interviewed at all? He needs to explain himself.

This overall. We have a great team. Let them grow through good and bad. Someone will either emerge as Batman or somebody want to come here.

I'm not putting all the blame on Ime and think he has done a great job with our defense. His main problem in my eyes is that he is not adjusting to what's happening on the court. The goal with our current roster should be to be elite on defense and at least average on offense. That is still not good enough to win a championship, but it is a step in the right direction and will also inform the FO on what it needs to do in the off-season.

We have 51 games left with a much tougher schedule than the first 31. It took 49 games to make the playoffs last year. We need to go 28 - 23 the rest of the way to meet that mark. Doable yes, doable as the 27 best offensive team, unlikely. I will caveat that. Injuries to other teams and health to ours could make it more likely.

Too early to really blame but one can still criticize the messy situation at the end of games.

But I now know Udoka is sort of a hot head himself......not a mastermind as I thought he was.

Still a great coach but just flawed and got his warts.

It's shooting, pretty much everyone has taken a step back/at career lows. I don't think it's unreasonable to think shooting will progress closer to league average. Or possibly we swing an impactful trade.

I think this team is more offensively limited than you believe and I think Ime believes that too based on his moves.

Let's not forget we are down Tari and Dillon. Breakdowns like this are bound to happen without two of our best guys.

he determines the offense (which is high school level reminiscent of milkhair) and the substitutions. scoring droughts and riding the cold hand have been hallmarks of his tenure

They have to let one of them go or both of them at some point. There’s no way that this backcourt will help this team contend at any point in the future. They literally drag the whole team down with their inconsistent shooting and boneheaded plays.

    Relax everyone.

It's late in the day on December 27 and we just hit double digits in the loss column after playing 4 games in 6 days and going 3-1. It was a winnable game, but that's the NBA and that was a team that made a crazy shot at the end. Regroup, rest up, and come back strong in a couple of days. Tonight was not a harbinger of doom.

Besides, it was clear to me that the stupid announcers jinxed us midway through the 4th.
