ClutchFans Game Thread: Timberwolves @ Rockets 12/27/2024

Obviously they can't ride Alpi for 20 more points in the 2nd half. Perimeter defense must tighten up and someone from the perimeter has to step up and score. Problem is, the T-Wolves play decent defense and that makes guys like Jalen and Cam uncomfortable.

Jabari's jumper is complete junk. Jalen and Cam don't shoot well when defenders bother their dribble.

Conclusion: Unless the defense completely takes over the game, Rockets aren't going to win. Severe lack of depth will make it very hard for them to ramp up the pressure for an entire half. They only have 7 guys that can play.
DB and Tari would make this an easy win.

 

In retrospect, I wish we just drafted Castle,Edey or Clingan. Castle can't shoot but at least he doesn't play like he's scared. Edey just for his size and his touch. Clingan, same thing. They all have a base and shown flashes. Reed looks like he's 4 years away from being a backup PG on a tanking team.

 

We’ll win if we stop letting them have all the open 3s they want.

 

Hopefully someone else can step up to help Sengun and Amen. Not realistic to have Sengun to for another 20 point half lol. We can get this game just have to defend a bit better.

That Jabari midrange is money. He needs to go to that more.

 

bari and sengun should be just as good as Sengun and wood, but bari spots up too much. he needs to cut when Sengun has the ball.
