    I like DD but this has got to be one of the worst decisions ever.

    Why would you trade for someone who is surrounded by a similar, if not better roster and he's still not going anywhere.

    Sengun = Sabonis
    Jabari = Murray
    Brooks = DeRozan (actually DeRozan is better)
    Green = Heuter (Green is better)

    ITS THE SAME ROSTER, THAT'S WHY THIS MAKES NO SENSE

    I beg to differ. Our roster has us #2 in the west…theirs is not in playoff contention. Fox will look better on a better team which we are. So it actually does make sense.

    If fox was all that good, the kings would be much better.

    lol Fox just got his coach fired. Brown called out Fox multiple times last night in post-game presser and now he immediately gets canned.

    I don't like players who hold franchises hostage.

    But y’all want Booker and they are not much better than the Kings. Does that now mean Booker is not that good? What’s the difference?

    What do you mean "look better"?

    This team is this good because of elite defense that requires a lot of energy expenditure. I imagine any high usage star offensive player traded to this team would have their efficiency dip from their previous team due to the demands of Ime that tire legs out faster.

    The Kings defense is bad. The coaching staff doesn't have nearly the high expectations of effort on defense that the Rockets coaching staff has. Fox would have more tired legs on this team and that would translate to his efficiency.

    The suns have been awesome when healthy. The kings have been super healthy (fox has played every game) and they suck. Ludicrous comparison.

    Sound like you making excuses for one guy over the other. The suns were swept in the first round last year with that roster and their stars, including Booker, was healthy. So again, not much difference.

    This has nothing to do with booker, we’re talking about fox. Completely different players who have completely different fits on this team.

    Sign me up for Fox .. He provides much needed playmaking, clutchness, and most of all, he gets the calls ... He would immediately propel us into the championship discussion for the next 3-4 years if most of the core remains intact... **** them late round draft picks.. Fans ( I get it) would rather let the team try and gel for 5 years like this is NBA2K or the 80s .. It doesn't work like that anymore..

    I made the comparison to make a point. It was said that Fox is not that good because the kings would be better. But that same argument can be made for Booker but people want him too.

    I agree those two fit differently as they should…they are two different players who play different positions.

    Booker is better than fox, and fits MUCH better on the rockets.

    i just feel that Fox (and Booker) are at best Silver medal super stars on a title team. They both need a Gold tier superstar to lead their teams.

    While Fox is a reasonable go to option in clutch time, he seems even worse as an off ball offensive piece and he doesn't seem to be tuned to the other details of a complete player. Booker is horrible in clutch time or clutch games.

    Honestly if you the Rockets are trading for any up-coming Guard, the target should be someone like LaMelo Ball who has more room to grow. Is a reasonable catch and shoot player, and has some clutch time ability though he needs to work on 3 pt clutch time shooting. However, the price to get him would probably be too high and the Hornets probably won't give him up because he is their best player.

    You're looking at the current situation, however just a yr and a half ago, Sacramento was 2nd or 3rd in the West with the same roster, outside of DeRozan.

    To me, if the Rockets are going to make a trade, you trade to upgrade/make a change. Fox is playing with the same roster and they can’t get past the 2nd round.

    A Green/Fox backcourt is an upgrade and it changes the dynamic of the team from a predominantly PNR team to a fast break, up tempo team.
