Shams: Jimmy Butler open to being traded to Rockets Mavericks or Warriors

I think Jimmy Butler should go to the Spurs.

 

It is very tricky, but not as hard as you are suggesting (ie impossible). The key is involving another team so that they outgoing salary from the Rockets can be spread around.

Much easier if Detroit is involves with their $14M cap space....


Personally I would wait until the end of Jan before thinking about a trade.

Doubt it, if they were willing to include a player the Heat wouldn't have withdrawn from the market. Even our lowest value core player alone is immense return for a Butler who's now obviously not going to fetch 2 FRP's.

Very sad that he's not a fit with the roster. I've always wanted Butler on the team. Would've been a perfect sidekick to Harden, they needed each other.

I predict Butler is going to a team in California.

Pat Riley is just a different kind of GM. This isn’t your typical business/asset manager type. He’s a pretty fcking competitive guy who for whatever reason players just don’t want to mess with.

Honestly thats weird for Miami. If they still want to compete they should have given Butler that 2 yr extension. He is worth more to them than anything they can get in a trade because of his age.
