Don't Trade Jalen Green Just Yet.....Change is Coming

Put him on a below average team, if he is still a good defender and can actually carry a defense, then he is a good defender.....

Ime is the sole reason for the turnaround.

So you're saying it was Ime's decision to give Nail Polish Boy the $100M extension. Right?

 

I'm saying he 100% had to approve it. This is his team, as we've been told. You can hear him talking about Green's struggles in interviews, very optimistic about the outlook. Doesn't BS when it comes to other players. He's still starting him and the guy was shooting 39/29/87 splits with 2 assists at some point.

A) He must believe in Green's potential.
B) The whole game is half offense and half defense, no one knows that better than Ime. He must believe Green's defensive value is very underrated to be willing to keep starting him.

Doesn't make any sense to me that he knows Green is more or less going to be an inefficient guard overall and he approved the contract and he keeps starting him and defending him in interviews.

 

I definitely think we should give Jalen a little longer before trading him or thinking of trading him, but having said that, I don’t think we actually have even one iota of power to influence the front office’s decisions, so I hope this thread can stay fun and basketball focused instead of turning into a mud-slinging contest like the other Jalen threads invariably devolve into.

They'll mention Sengun playing poorly then say "only if he his teammates could hit 3s". This is every game so it's not something that's not regular

I guess you just choose to ignore all the posts from the last few jalen stans who blame everyone for why jalen sucks. Why do you think he sucks? Again, there are a few idiot sengun fans no doubt, but it’s no different from the jalen ones.

 

I want to zone in one person, but it's not Jalen, it's Ime. Our offense sucks and the man responsible for that offense is Ime.

 

I really think we will see a gradual improvement of our offense throughout the course of the year. I’m just elated where we are at.

 

Jalen hasn't been great but you're wrong about the trade value. It'll be easy to move him if we want to move on.

I don't think he approved anything - wasn't asked to. Our GM with the beautiful mind just doesn't have a reverse gear; he gave JG $100M instead of accepting he fvcked up at the draft. Now Ime's an accomplice in The Great Black Mumble Trade Swindle: He starts JG and holds him on a longer leash than others in order to be able to market him without making the GM look like the muleheaded fool that he is.

I would be ok with Fox if he isn't signing for the max. Like if he agrees on a cheap extension, ok bring him in the offseason for Jalen and parts. But if he wants that max hell no he would just be overpaid.

 

Of course he’s signing the max. He may sign the super max if he makes an All NBA team this season.

 

Completely agree. Our guys have been shooting unusually poorly. I think there’s a significant chance our shooting as a team improves the rest of the way.
