Voting for Sengun for the All-Star game. Today counts as a three-for-one vote I believe. Go vote for him NBA All-Star Vote Link: https://vote.nba.com/en
Bro these pathetic excuses are tiresome. It shouldn't be hard to be efficient if you're a top 3 center, allegedly
I watched the last three games, and I feel it is time to say that Sengun's game has overall regressed compared to last seasons. Defensive effort kind of blocks his energy, and he lost his creativity and touch. Ball doesn't feel smooth with his hands. He regressed and is nowhere near all star level. picking up random stats does not change the eye test. I used to enjoy watching him 4 am from europe. this season it is painful. let the attacks begin.
Thats not 100% wrong but if you change some things in your game that can be a problem with other things what he did good. So he must find a ballance in his game. He is defending at the most time very well but he is not the monster in the Offense like last year. I think he did not forgot how to play offense. Its a mental thing right now. He started last 7 games very bad into the game and the pressure goes bigger and bigger on him. He must learn to handle that. He is intelligent enough ballance Defense and Offense. The other thing is he also must learn to shoot 3 Pointers in the games not only in practices. Thats a process and he must developing his game. He is not a Superstar right now but he there are some points what he must develop to be a Superstar. He got the Talent to arrive that. We are talking about Rockets consistent Player and the Rockets are Second in the West Conference! Imagine what happens, if Alpi arrive the Superstar and you got 2 guys who are shooting over 40% from Downtown! This Team will be one of the dominant Teams in the NBA next 5-8 years! So be happy dude!
Most important thing is that the team is doing well. He is unselfish and doing whatever is needed for us to win. Also:
I keep thinking about stamina. He's so much better on defense now that he may just not have enough gas to be as efficient or effective on offense. And I'm totally OK with that as long as he keeps contributing and we keep winning. It's possible that he may never be this good defensively and as good as he's been in the past offensively. If that happens and it's consistent then we have that go-to star we've been looking for.
His EFG% is 49% 30 games into the season which is pretty shocking. I was expecting a step forward in efficiency and instead he took 3 big steps back. Looking at his shot chart, he's opting for more FT line mid range shots, and he's simply missing around the basket. His 3PAr and long 2's attempt rate are below career average. This team is so bizarre. Sengun, Fred and Whitmore underperforming, Jalen & Smith unimproved, Sheppard, Adams and Landale providing nothing. On paper Amen, Tari and Brooks are the only ones doing better and even then, its relatively modest improvements in total production. And somehow the team is largely improved and winning. Feels like a fluke lol
