Memphis coaching, just like Cleveland coaching, is bringing elements of
    Euro-play to the NBA.

I personally have been pushing speed, outrun your opponent down the court
for easy rim runs, open 3's, line or shift change substitutions.

Sengun better get his track shoes ready. Get ready to run. Jalen Green will
fit in perfectly to this style coming out way.

    No poll necessary

They couldn't trade him even if they wanted to, he's a bad player on a bad contract. He has negative value.

They're already top 3 in transition points.
Hit more than 28% from threes and your offense will be better, all around.

Stay closed minded.....that's what scrubs do.

You also said Green would never be a defender. Well he is/was 2nd among
    shooting guards recently.

He's hidden by being surrounded by better players, he's still the weak link defensively on defense.

As to offense, he's only ever as good as his 3 point shot. If it happens to be hot, then he's a very good player offensively... all other times he's different varieties of garbage.

This could be a fun topic, unless it becomes a BTG Jalen sucks thread. BTG we’ve heard your opinion and it is duly noted for future “I told you sos”. So let us have our fun.

V vleet is a team option for next season.

When we signed him. Raptor fans told us Uncle Fred loves slow PACE, all teams target
his diminutive frame defensively, can be streaky from all areas of the court.

I hated that signing. Don't get me started.

We've also heard the delusions of Jalen fans for years now...

Don't post delusions, it only invites others to post reality.

Also, this is just another thread blaming Sengun for Jalen being bad at basketball... sorry, you're not going to have that "fun" without other's posting reality debunking it.

When will the team surround him with players that can shoot 3-pointers consistently
so he can be unhidden? Even your crap covered eyes will see, then.

He's the ****ing SHOOTING guard.... he's the one who should be capable of hitting 3's.

I get you want to make excuses for a 31% 3 point shooting SG, but there simply is no excuse.

I've heard some pace and space talk from Ime recently again but I don't know when the change will take place. The bench is fine, our average is heavily skewed by just how elite our bench unit is at getting transition points and playing fast in general. Our first unit is successful and shouldn't be tinkered with but they are definitely the slow ones. If we want more shooting, it's in the 20-25 minutes the second unit is playing. If you want better pace and space for Jalen, you have to essentially overlap him with the 2nd unit and stagger his minutes with Sengun. Play him with Amen or Jabari at the 5 and you're in great shape. That's the max we can do to improve our spacing internally.

The starters are the ones that really need help. We need to bring one more athlete into the starting lineup honestly and lose one of our least athletic players there. Sengun/Jabari/Brooks/FVV are average to bad athletes, we can't stick with that limitation too long. You've seen even last season when Cam/Green or Amen/Green would run together on the break defenses would have to make really tough choices.

One of Brooks or FVV's time is coming. The kids are growing up. I'm just not sure Ime can let go of the safety/stability of Fred and Dillon mid-season.

Also regarding Jalen, no matter how shitty the spacing and the situation and the offense, he still shouldn't be 41/32/86 splits. He also just needs to do better and if there's no way to do that, there's always taking fewer more selective shots.

In a game that stresses live and die by the the 3 league it would be nice to
actually have players that can actually shoot 3's to help the facilitators
(Jalen Green / Sengun / VanVleet) become more efficient.

We already covered how Ja Morant, D Fox and other facilitators don't have the greatest
3-pt percentage. Especially when they use a step back 3 to bring in the defender so they
    can set up the drive.

You are pathetic. But thank you for your service, there can be no light without darkness.
No good without evil. No smart (me) without dumb (?) to judge ourselves by.

    Merry Christmas

Yes, but if people watch the video it's more than that.

It's talks about "Gortat Screen" and "Varejo Pick" in the half court.

    @Bobbythegreat

Where did you run off to? Guessing you knew what else was coming:

    Current 3P%:

    VanVleet..................27.6%
    DeJounte Murray.....28.9%
Jaylen Brown.........29.5% (also a shooting guard.....but has 3-pt shooters around him)
    Scoot H....................30.4%
    Evan Mobley............31.7%
    Devin Booker..........31.8%
    Ja Morant................31.9%
    Jalen Suggs............31.9%
    D Fox.......................32.1%
    Jalen Green.................32.2%
    CJ McCollum............32.3%
    Trae Young...........32.7%
    Mikal Bridges...........32.8%
    Franz Wagner...........33.3%
    Bennedict Mathurin..34.4%

Most, if not all are asked to be prime facilitators.

Most have 3-point shooters helping them get open......with exception of Jalen Green.

Funny how teams ask their PG's, SF's, PF's, C's to stand on the perimeter but you give them
a pass with Houston. You pretend just the SG needs to be able to shoot.

its all just excuses and blame game with this bunch

Jabari shoots bad early in the season, everyone agrees it's on him he needs to improve Jabari worked hard to fix it and improve
Amen shots bad last year and early in the season, everyone agrees it's on him he needs to improve Amen worked hard to slowly fix it and improve
Alpi missing gimme's this year, everyone agrees it's on him he needs to improve
FVV shooting bad this year, everyone agrees it's on him he needs to improve

Jalen shot bad last 3 years got worse this year
but its on the coach he needs to cater to JG
but its on the system it needs to be fast, euroball to cater to JG
but its on hs teammates they need to be a shooters to cater to JG
but its on FO they need to get shooters to cater to JG
but he has to play defense

were LOFs as bad blaming everyone/everything else?

With this 3 is better than 2 at every position bullshit circulating, the results will be what you see league wide.. You just gotta hope your dynamic 2 guard becomes clutch very soon..
