Jabari has crept up to a career high percentage from 3 after his dismal start. Still 2 pts off of where he was PPG last year but his process looks so much better. Eventually Dillon won't be here and someone has to take those shots.
NBA 6th Man of the Year (6MOTY) Rankings 2024-25: Top 5 candidates after Week 8 ft. Moritz Wagner Probably not going to win but Amen deserves to be in this conversation for sure.
Maybe Ime is saving his legs for the stretch run. There has to be a reason other than loyalty to FVV and Dillon, right? Thompson has played in 90 games in his career. He has played 30+ mins in 24 (only 9 this year). Most came when Sengun and Dillon got hurt last year. He is our superstar hope and is probably already our best player. This next stretch of games starting Dec. 27th, is going to define whether we are a playoff team or not. Sure hope Ime plays his best player more appropriately.
Amen is so far beyond any other player we have at this juncture of his career it's hard not to imagine him being a superstar. He's the primary reason I wouldn't trade for Fox. Find a player that fits around Amen and Sengun.
Tari and Bari fit great with Amen and Sengun. We just don’t have a go to scorer in the backcourt which is why folks are considering Fox.
Amen and Jalen have looked good in the past without FVV on the court. I would love to see a lineup of Amen, Jalen, Dillon, Jabari, and Sengun for about ten games to see what would happen. We need to know before the offseason
Complete Amen highlights with the Hornets announcers, who are hilarious and impressed. (Don't know if I could listen to them every night of I was a Hornets fan).
That lineup will only work if Jalen's shooting steps up, or Amen turns into a 3pt threat. Having 3 guys who can't consistently hit from outside is going to kill your offense, kind of like what the Rockets are right now.
I'd rather see more of FVV, Amen, Dillon, Jabari, and Tari we need FVVs assists and low turnovers. And Amen is smart enough to setup and feed Jabari and Dillion for more threes
He has legitmately become my favorite player. The dude does everything. He's at least 6th MOY but he should be starting and playing as minutes as possible.
The confidence and willingness to shoot is impressive. I imagine most people, if they shot like Amen last year, would avoid it at all costs. Amen however shot 6 3s against Charlotte! He made 1/3 of them. If he could do that nightly then he is a respectable shooter from deep. What outstanding progress in one year.
