Tough stretch I predict 7-11. Our record would 27-20, but on a 4 game losing streak. Would Rockets stay the course or start trading? Would they look at changes to the rotation? Hm, I think we could be 10-8 and I'm usually pessimistic about these things. That stretch doesn't look too bad. We have a killer stretch at the end of the season, maybe the last 20 games. We need to have a really strong record going into that gauntlet because there may be a few losses there.
18 straight. 38-9. Rockets are just getting started. They will seize control of the WC and become America's Team!
For some reason, those teams we're facing these upcoming games give us tough matchups. I'm calling it: if fall to .500 at trade deadline, the front office is going to make a big trade, definitely would involve Jalen Green, Tari, and some other players...I think Sengun and Amen are now our core players moving forward. Udoka really wants KD so we'll have to keep an eye on the Phoenix Suns situation as their record is booboo
I don't think the FO will overreact no matter the record after that stretch. This is still a developmental year, and We must be patient until the summer. No need to rush and waste assets (except if a grade A superstar wants out and picks us as the destination). Jalen isn't really tradeable until his extension kicks in, and he will almost certainly be involved in any bigger trade. Let the season play out, see how our guys respond to playoffs basketball, keep the ones that shine and ship off the ones that don't. As for the prediction for the upcoming gauntlet, I will be ecstatic if We can get over 9 wins. We will probably take a game from Bos and Cle, but also drop 2 of the Was/Por/Det games. The 3 Memphis games are going to be huge for seeding, need to win 2 there.
I think we can pull out 10 wins or more in this stretch, as long as Tari gets back, while Ime also keeps Cam and Tate on the rotation. I think that the mostly-7 men rotation (with our starting 5 and the terror twins) is great but sometimes the game slips away as they are too tired in the 2nd half. You gotta keep them fresh so they’ll have more energy, especially in the 2nd half so they can secure the w. That’s why I love seeing Cam and Tate back with us, and hope we keep seeing them even after Tari returns. Ime needs to give minutes for these two and also for Adams/Jock and Holiday/Reed in the 1st half, and we’ll continue to have a great season. Think about that.
I think we'll get 10 or more wins out of that schedule. Majority of the games are on the road, but there are also a good amount of mediocre and bad teams. We can probably break even against the good teams, or nearly. We need to make a move at the deadline regardless. It doesn't have to be big, but damn do we need shooting and just another option in the backcourt in general. And there are cap reasons to try and do something (again, even if it's small).
Your (OP) prediction seems a lil on the pessimistic side... but I guess we are due for a disappointing spell of games, especially considering we have made absolutely no headway on our abysmal offensive start.
