Who knows if they are giving the full story but if there were no fractures and no arterial damage, that is a win all things considered.

Could have been much worse, but this seems like a manageable recovery. Again, could be things they aren't sharing

Man, horrible injuries for Dell. So promising and now his career might be cut short....

...and "other damage." We are more likely to see Yao Ming or Lance McCullers before Tank Dell is 100%.

Should make Texans even more aggressive to land Wilson.

I don't see him ready for camp or playing the first part of the year.............G Wilson would be huge. I love Diggs, the person, but man for what we paid, his production was minimal which could be entirely on Bobby, but would take him back at a MUCH lower price, maybe sweeten it to a 2 year deal

The flip side is that this is the Nick Chubb injury (twice I think).

Reposting this for @PackerNation and all of his snark.

From page 28, shortly after the injury.

His response may have been in the game thread though. Pretty sure it was during the game when I said it looked like a dislocated knee.

I’ve seen a lot of bad news about this injury, but I’m hoping he makes a recovery like Shaun Livingston. Remember, he dislocated his knee and tore several ligaments. He was able to come back and play competitive basketball.

ACL, MCL, LCL, meniscus … so he shredded his knee.

“This is a much more difficult recovery than just an ACL, it’s a knee dislocation with three of four major ligaments torn and it’s a long road back,” former 17-year NFL team head doctor David Chao, an orthopedic surgeon and the owner of Sports Injury Central, a website that analyzes sports injuries, told KPRC 2 in a telephone interview. “Unfortunately, it has to be considered career threatening, but we all hope not career-ending. Surgery is usually staged with this severe an injury. Whatever you can repair, you repair now, the MCL and LCL. The ACL is typically a reconstruction and you delay that until later when swelling goes down and there’s more mobility.

“A typical recovery timetable, it would be great if he could participate at some point next season, but it’s far from guaranteed he will play at any point next season. It’s similar to what happened with Browns running back Nick Chubb. They’re both knee dislocations, but not all knee dislocations are the same. This is a much more complicated surgery process than an isolated ACL and, as such, it’s going to be multiple surgeries and lots of follow-up. As much as this is a devastating injury, Nick Chubb did return to play his next season. Let’s hope for a similar good outcome for Tank Dell.”

    Jesus, that's brutal.

For somebody with his frame....he's probably done as a meaningful NFL receiver. He couldn't afford to lose any quickness.

Sure as hell hope I'm wrong

I would cut that scrub practice team wr that injured tank. I don’t care if it was an accident, he might’ve just ended tank’s career.
