This is from a couple of weeks ago. New cast member. I thought this song was random and stupid. Which of course made it hilarious.
Jost and Che might be the best weekend update desk ever. Effortless chemistry, both are funny. I would watch a regular Daily Show type show with them...or, **** it, put them on the Daily Show as anchors, although I would miss Desi Lydic.
From someone who laughs at most humor: I don't find Bowen Yang funny at all. If there's a skit with him I will usually skip it or forward through his parts. Marcello Hernandez is overrated too but I have gotten a few chuckles off of his jokes.
I honestly have never heard of him. A few seconds into the drone segment I knew it wasn't funny. Skipped that part and went to Jost and Che. Great stuff!
I'm legit surprised she hasn't been given the full time job. Out of the rotation that's doing it now, she's my favorite...but they're all really good. Once Stewart calls it a day, any of the 4 that are part of the regular rotation would be great.
Che and Jost are fantastic. I think they have pretty clearly established themselves as the best Weekend Update desk the show has ever had. Whatever the consistency of the cast/episode/season/host, Che and Jost always deliver. They have been the backbone of the show for years.
