So, any thoughts on replacing Slowik? Is there a really good QB coach on a contender that we could hire as OC, or a really good college OC that could make the leap to the NFL after this year?

I don't want another first timer NFL OC. In fact, I want someone with head coaching experience. I've mentioned in other threads, but I would like Frank Reich or Doug Pederson, if he's available. I don't care whether or not we run the Shanahan offense, just implement a system that works.

I hope I am wrong, but I see an ugly game on Wednesday, I almost prefer to sit some key folks, meaningless game is too strong a statement but in reality, we have nothing to play for and I would hate to see anyone else get hurt after this ridiculous 4 day turn around...................Next time I hear the NFL talk about Player Safety I shall chuckle

Here is the underlying problem with Slowik. He is one of Demerco's best friends. He may the "best friend." Would you fire a close friend? Not likely going to happen. My solution is to promote Slowik to Asst. Head Coach (is there such a position?). That way everyone is happy, if the new OC actually knows what he is doing.
