    It boils down to this...

Many of the people Trump has nominated to head up government agencies and programs or act as outside advisers, such as Elon Musk, have potential conflicts due to their business interests either involving the government or subject to government regulation. This is fertile ground for potential waste, abuse and fraud, making the role of truly independent watchdogs, like inspectors general, all the more critical.”

“If Trump facilitates this kind of interference by Musk and his cronies, then the United States will no longer have a ‘government of the people, by the people, for the people’, and instead will be a government of billionaires, by billionaires, for billionaires.”

Maybe that's what the people you mentioned want.
No idea why, but it doesn't give me a "For the people" vibe.

I know that you're "anyone but Trump" but the poster you're replying to is a liar and a psychopath. Might want to pay closer attention

I transitioned a few months back.
    Your analysis is spot on.
This is a dark chasm we have jumped into.

Why is it you only highlight the convenient conflict of interest of people who are not on your team but you give a full pass on those who are on your team? Democrats have become the complete opposite of moral authority. They have become the religious hypocrites of the 60's.

A remember a few months back many on this board were saying they would vote for a ham sandwich before Trump.

So everyone is saying Musk is calling the shots.

By my rational all those ham sandwich voters should be happy that Musk is supposedly running the country instead of Ol Trumpy bear Am I right??

Is he or is he not an upgrade??

Would I rather Musk run the country over Trump or Long Time Loser Harris? Musk would be my first pick!

Anyhoo, Trump has made a dramatic shift to the center. It doesn't mean I like him, but its the people he surrounded himself with that convinced me to vote for him vs staying home.

Give me an example of a Democrat who has a bigger conflict of interest in making hundreds of billions while being in charge of a government department, and the power to push stripping regulations that cut their profits and we'll talk.

This is about rooting out as much corruption as possible. We don't limit the threshold at a convenient number such as .... 400 billion.

But until we strip Musk of his wealth, you won't talk about all the other wealthy people who have abused the system, specifically elected politicians like Pelosi. Let just turn a blind eye and be subservient to our cults like good religious members we are.

Everything triggers you. Who cares about Hunter Biden? You need to calm down. None of the posters you mentioned are angry like you always are

Depends on the reasons for not wanting Trump to be reelected. If it’s purely a matter of policy, then yes your rationale holds. If it’s also about holding him accountable for his scheming to overturn the 2020 election by replacing electors in battleground states that he lost, then whether Musk or some other oligarchs are really calling the shots behind the scenes doesn’t make it any better.

I'm saying there were MANY out there in the anyone but Trump Camp.

    Wish Granted.
for them this is great news
All of us should have a very Merry Christmas with this news.

Musk is a Nazi, and needs to have his power reduced, he used to be someone to look up to, but now it is clear he is someone that just takes credit for others work.

And he is not an upgrade, anyone without accountability to the American people is a disaster.

I don't approve anyone abusing the system, and yes, many politicians do. If you don't want to root out as much corruption as possible we don't think alike. If you think it's fine to have someone in charge of deciding which programs to cut from Americans in need, while being personally invested in multiple businesses that could reap billions by deciding whose funding is more important we disagree. That's a huge conflict of interest to me.

Just because I feel that way doesn't mean I'm in a cult. I have my own sense of values. I believe our leaders should serve the people first, and not themselves or a small portion of Americans. What's best for Americans is what helps the majority in what they need most. It's funny for you to call that cult like behavior.

I don't push my religious beliefs on anyone, or tell people how to live their life. I don't believe in mixing religion in politics, or banning what books or programs people read or watch, but many politicians do. As for cult behavior, that's people wearing gauze on their ears and praying to a statue of Trump, which I wouldn't do for any politician.

Musk is not in charge of anything in the government. There is no government program called DOGE.

First, you guys claim Trump is a dictator and doesn't listen to anyone. Now that he is taking council, you're crying foul. The democrats have kept Bidens dirty little secret, not hidden, but suppressed the MSN from discussing it or making an issue of it. Its abundantly obvious the insaneos are running the Democrats asylum. Biden is not even remotely in charge. So take a moment to check your perceived reality. Outsiders and special interest have been running this country for a long time. We finally have a special interest who is actually trying to clean up the mess and all you can do is criticize the process because your corrupt cult is no longer in charge. And I say cult because leftist are now the minority and continue to bury their head at the blatent obvious.

I am not telling you to drink Trump or Musk koolaid. Just stop gaslighting the rest of us with your leftist nonsense.
