Our guys need reps to get better at running our offense, but Ime always relies on FVV whenever he can, which just doesn’t make sense to me. Our best, and by far our most entertaining minutes today were with FVV on the bench (where he belonged today after putting up a stinker like this)

Can we please stop treating Fred like he’s Jason Kidd with the minutes

Man I was hopeful Jalen was going to start out more efficient from the go this year but so far it's same old same old.

Better start stringing some together or unfortunately he might be gone at the TD.

C'mon man

 

Jalen is like McGrady except he's about 1/5 as talented. He insists on taking several just plain stupid shots each and every game regardless of anything.

Tonight, if he hadn't taken 4 stupid 3-pointers, he would have finished north of .500. But whenever he hits a long range shot, you can count on him feeling entitled to take at least two others that have little chance of going in.

Jalen is just not a smart player and never will be.

 

That’s why I think there’s something wrong with him physically that’s affecting his shot. Even a leg injury could mess with your shooting form, especially on 3s. His shots have been way off lately.

 

I missed DS as soon as he left. I feel like he taught Jalen so much. Hindsight I bet he wishes he stayed.

 

I also think he could be a little banged up, because there’s no reason for him to suddenly have a shooting slump like this, unless it’s maybe fatigue..? Either way, a few less minutes would probably do him some good, imo

 

Dillon Brooks is a great contraflow player. Streaks and momentum don’t seem to affect him at all. He’s a great wild card to make something happen when the team is in a funk.

I'd much rather see him play with Fred out and get PG minutes. I only watched a few minutes of the game, but it pissed me off when Reed was wide open and Fred decided to play a little ISO against his defender then brick his 3 PT attempt instead of passing to Reed. But, if Reed comes in for Fred I want to see him take more shots instead of passing. I doubt he bricks as many as Fred has lately.

That game brought back horrid flashbacks to the Rockets of yesterday with no Rocket understanding the basic concepts of how to get an entry pass into the post whilst the post man is being fronted.

I'm getting really sick and tired of seeing Brooks and Jabari screaming at Sengun for perceived errors. There's constructive criticism and feedback, and then there's what these two do.

Would be less glaring if they did it to other members of the team - or each other - for their constant bad plays.

I've lost count how many times Ime makes a big brains substitution for defensive purposes and sits Sengun, only for the other team to immediately and effortlessly score in the paint. It's becoming a broken record.

 

Cam had an assist. The mindset to be a team player is there.

i guarantee if Ime was forced to play Reed we would see how good he can be. Reed is not a microwave kind of player.

 

The crap about Amen not being able to take over

I missed the game. Can someone explain how FVV got 37 mins on 1/10 shooting and Amen got 22 minutes and he has to spend half his time with FVV on the floor. Ridiculous. Was FVV just fabulous at passing or defense tonight?
