Didn't he set a record in the playoffs that year. He made 12 shots in a row without a miss. That was terrible every year until they got CP3. He changed the culture and taught them all how to play smarter. Just cuz booker scored more doesn't mean he was better, because ever since they cp3 they have not been winning.

I can't argue that they wouldn't have made it to the finals that year without CP3 but if you want to use that argument how many times has CP3 made it to the finals without Booker?

Again, CP3 is one of my all time favorite players and I think because he never won a ring he's underrated by a lot of people, but I truly believe Booker was the best player on that team followed by CP3 followed by Bridges

CP3 led the team in every advanced metric that year. PER, VORP, BPM, WS. Whatever you want to look at. That was probably his last good season and he was still the better player. After that Booker was better.

I wasn't even arguing about finals. I don't think Booker ever made the playoffs without CP3. The only reason CP3 didnt make the finals was because of injuries. He has some of the worst luck with injuries in history of the league. Dude is a TOP 3 pt guard all time. But will never get credit for it.

The Suns absolutely need a healthy Durant. It will be interesting to see how he looks on Tuesday.

Interesting to see a matchup of our draft picks and swaps tonight KD and Beal returned and ran over the Lakers last night, but lose to Nets at home without their top scorer in Cam Thomas (out for 3-4 weeks with a hamstring injury) on a second night of a back to back. They still should be able to handle the Nets though at home when at full strength. The Nets somehow are nearly at .500 when I would have thought they would be tanking completely, somehow they are on pace for a better record without Bridges.

CP3 is still very good in the limited minutes he can play if hes available, would have been a great signing as a backup PG for us at only $10M and one year.

Currently the Suns are in the lottery. There is still a small chance of us capturing the Flagg this year!

The sun seem pretty good when all three big dogs are on the court, but you never know what will happen injury wise.

Brooklyn looks like They should struggle a bit more with Thomas out, but they are winning more games than I thought they would.

It was pretty fun rooting against BKN these last few years and hitting the lottery last summer for the #3 pick. I suggest someone start a Phoenix Pick Watch Thread because they seem to be imploding. Just lost to the Pacers and the Pistons, with the Nuggets on deck. Every loss gives the Rockets a slightly better trade package with whichever team they may or may not be dealing with right now.

Durant and Beal are having a very hard time staying healthy and they aren't great even when they are. Allen got a concussion tonight as well, so he will likely be out against the Nuggets.

Thoughts? If Rockets sold the 2025 swap with a .500 Phoenix at the 11th or 12th seed, would they be selling high or low. Phoenix has the skill to climb in the standings, but their health could cause them to fall further.

At this stage this pick is a guaranteed lottery pick, and a 6.1% chance of being top 4, with a 1.3% chance at Cooper Flagg.

Phoenix also has the 5th hardest schedule remaining. If this pick actually ends up in the lottery, then Stone is a genius.
If (somehow) it ends up as a higher pick than the Nets, that would be pure comedy.

It is hard to imagine the Suns not making the play-offs, but I wonder what a Durant injury now would do to them....

Fugget about it, huh!!! Although Cooper "the American" Flagg is the real American deal, we shouldn't even tease ourselves like that.

Yeah as long as Durant is able to compete, he’ll keep them competitive or do his best. One thing about Durant is he’s no quitter. He fights to compete every game. He’s the only reason that phoenix is even .500 right now. Without him they’re probably a bottom 5 team.

KD with 43/6/5 and loses at home to the Pistons. The Phoenix situation has looked like a ticking time bomb since the first time KD was out injured this year (he has already missed time twice this year for injuries), and they could not win games. Orlando is missing their top two players and they are competing, the Suns on the other hand are playing terribly without KD. When KD has played they have won games, but he is having to do a lot. Their roster does not even look that bad on paper either. I think Stone was smart in diversifying their picks across some Western Conference teams. I can see KD just taking the money from PHX and being OK not winning another ring.

AD, Booker and Fox all probably checked out at this point.

Booker is a better fit but Fox is a much better contract.
