Fans always blame the coaches for anything bad because it’s the simplest explanation. I never understood why folks thought Pep was the answer to anything, Kelly seemed to do good work with Mills.

Slowik has no business being an offensive coordinator.

He can’t in game adjust and it was riveting watching the comparison to Andy Reid’s offense.

    Everything for Mahomes is easy.

Everything for Stroud needs a heroic effort.

I’m disgusted by how hard we got hoodwinked by Slowik in year 1.

This dumbass really threw 4 screen passes behind the line of scrimmage for negative yardage. At some point you’d figure out what works and what doesn’t.

Slowik has been extremely disappointing to say the least.

Agreed, but if Hutch had been able to make his blocks, big plays were there to be made.

Then maybe you put woods there instead of Hutch or tank and Nico on same side and let Nico block for tank …

or how about run the same play that KC kept killing us with / any pick play to RB or Tank

But nobody ever makes those blocks. It's not just Hutch. It's been Woods too. On one of those plays (not really a screen), Tunsil was supposed to slip his block and go out and block Justin Reid. He was just too far away to get there in time. It was a dumb play design and a dumb play call. There was no way a LT would be able to make up that ground quicker than a DB.

If we can't execute the play for whatever reason, don't call the damned play. And don't blame poor execution when it doesn't work. You should know that we don't execute it well and use that information to not put us in that position. Also, I haven't seen anything that indicates the coaches have done anything to teach our receivers how to block better on those plays. It looks the same now as it has all season.

Also, teams know we're going to run this play. It's a Slowik staple. They're ready for it. We're not surprising anybody. It doesn't matter what formation or how many blockers there are, defense read that play every time.

Coach up the players. Alter how you're running those plays. But don't just keep running the same **** that doesn't work the same way week after week, especially when it usually results in a loss of yards. We wonder why we're in 3rd and long so often, **** like this is part of the reason.

When different players are missing blocks on every screen pass, it's a coaching problem then. The plays are also not designed well. It's not just one blocker.

Woods is a damn good blocking WR on the outside, but it's not the easiest thing in the world to do.

When the defense can read what's coming before the ball is snapped, it's even less easy.

I know that on 3 seperate occasions Hutch missed the block. If you want to say they shouldn't run the play because Hutch cant execute that block then I agree with you.

He's definitely one of the forefront one, along with others behind him.

Very well said. It ultimately falls on the offensive coaching. As coaches/coordinators, you failed to coach up your players to be able to properly execute the play, or you failed to abandon that play when it's clear your players aren't capable of executing.

I want an entire house cleaning on the offensive coaching staff next year.
