Why would we want him to play alongside Jalen? Or is it a tactical move to provide Jalen stans with yet another piece to blame for Jalen being subpar?
Maybe so, but to be a legit 1st or 2nd option player, he must become effective in half-court settings because fast break opportunities decline in the playoffs.
I just don’t understand this fascination with Fox. Would he be an upgrade over Jalen or FVV, yes, but not enough to spend a great amount of assets on. If you can get him for FVV and a couple of lottery protected picks fine. He is not a good defensive player or outside shooter. He does play downhill and is way more athletic than FVV though. We already have Amen who is better at every aspect of the game other than 3 pointers (and he is improving at that). Just move him into either FVV or Jalen’s position and it doesn’t cost you anything and may actually unleash Jalen.
No argument he’s an upgrade over Jalen. Would just be disappointed if we gave up the farm for Fox. Our picks and prospects should bring a better return.
You guys keep saying that, but there isn't much of a market out there for superstar players. You can't keep holding on to your picks forever and not take risks. Personally I'm a Fox fan and feel he would be a great fit here. I'm definitely concerned about a supermax deal though, so that's what would hold me back from offering the farm for him. Regardless here my deal for him.
Totally agree. I don’t think Fox is the big fish we should be shooting for. I think we need to save all of our firsts for Booker (or better) until we have to burn one of those Phoenix picks in the draft next summer. Once that happens, then we can start looking at consolation prizes like Fox.
C'mon Dude. We've already got a Fox thread going. Don't want him or his salary... We need a guy that can bust it from outside. D up, and handle the rock.
