You are making different arguments every post you make lol. Lets just both agree Jalen's performance isnt good enough and either he improves or he should be replaced along with FVV.
I believe that Dillon is having the best year of his career. I think he is a valuable member of this team and I would leave him as a starter as long as Amen is starting at guard at some point this year. I do think Tari is better served coming off the bench but playing Amen less than 30 mins a game is criminal. If Ime refuses to sit FVV or Jalen for Amen, then Dillon needs to come off the bench.
I agree Amen needs 30 mpg I dont care who starts but Amen and Sengun need the most mins since they are our best players. Jabari too since he came out of his slump recently. I think we just need to ride out this year, I mean we are 3rd in the west its not too bad warts and all. In the offseason Im sure there will be drastic changes. So far I dont think FVV will be retained so thats immediately 40M off the books.
I said FVV or Jalen. If it’s FVV and if he continues to dominate the ball then switch Jalen in and FVV out. In my opinion at least so far this season, FVV is a bigger problem than Jalen, because of his slow style of play
I agree with this. I’m not sure what the data says but I actually think that when Green and Thompson played together it looks pretty good.
Boy, that's a lot of text to be wrong. My exact quote regarding "since high school" : I never said he was a scoring machine since high school. He has always been a combo guard who will defer when needed but was capable of turning it up when asked to. I said the "gene" or the aggressiveness out there to put up 20 has always been there but only when needed or asked upon. He's apparently completely lost that as a Rocket. I literally even mentioned that he unleashed it "here and there" in college (probably deferring to other scorers on the team). The rest of that about Booker I'm not going to be able to help you understand because you fail to understand or are just being a loon. I already explained it.
You are the one being a loon about Reed Sheppard. Here is your quote about "since high school" You are right it's a lot of text to be wrong. Imagine contradicting everything you just said. At the end of the day my point stands 12 ppg is not evidence of any scoring gene or great scoring prowess. Booker is so far from Sheppard why are you even using him for basis? They don't even play the same position and Booker isn't a midget like Sheppard. So examining Booker and saying Sheppard can be like him just doesn't make any sense. Examining somebody 6'4 to determine why a 6'1.75 is struggling at the NBA level, what would that prove? If Sheppard was 6'4 like Booker he'd probably be the ROY favorite.
Reed passes up shots. Open shots. Sometimes he passes them up for more difficult shots. Those shots have nothing to do with his height. Watch a game - it'll help you. And you still don't get it. "Why u bring up 6'4" man when we talk about 6'1.75" man?!" Because maybe their heights aren't what the issue we're talking about is? That's the 2nd time I've mentioned that. Maybe I'm just using the wrong type of drill bit to get through concrete. *shrug*
Whats your proof height isnt the issue? Even the shots he takes are blanking so passing up the shots isnt the issue, making the shots is the issue. I did watch several of games and he takes a lot of shots that are open 3 pt shots he just misses them. Dude is shooting 45% TS, 29% from 3. Only 4 fta in 25 games. Pretty sure his height is playing a factor there. It seems to me you framed your post like you are finding out what went wrong with Sheppard when the reality is you already convinced yourself he is just passing up easy shots and taking "hard shots" thats why he is scrubbing it up. If you are genuinely curious why would even rule out height when thats clearly his biggest shortcoming (pun intended)? Maybe what you should study is Jared Mcain and see why Mcain is able to make shots and score at a decent rate despite being the same height as Sheppard, instead of looking at Booker who has 3-4 inches on Sheppard.
If Reed's height is a factor than FVV's height is a factor. Reed is 1 or 2 inches taller than FVV AND more athletic (can actually dunk). The issue is Reed adjusting to the pace of the game and only getting spot minutes vs being thrown into the deep end the way Green, Sengun, Jabari and Tari were.
What a weird obsession. People keep explaining to you that the height isn’t the issue, and you even say his 3-pointers are OPEN and then say you are pretty sure height is a factor one sentence later. Typically height isn’t the cause for missing open shots. Now we get to the core point. Perhaps it’s not height you are obsessed with?
Yeah it's time. Wish he would've been sent down when Cam was so they could've played together. Let Reed go light it up for a while. Would be good for him. Send McVeigh while you're at it. He's just a cheerleader at this point.
Make ClutchFans Great Again and ban @roslolian please. Get this nasty piece of **** with no American message board etiquette out of here please. Everyone here hates him.
3 pts again keep crying you clown. You should be the one banned your obsession with Sheppard is disturbing AF.
This is supposedly a professional organization. They had to have seen this coming. Reeds parents, who were athletes, should have seen this coming. I blame them all. They are possibly ruining this kids career. Reed would look better if he were playing on any other top 6-7 team.
It's not a fair comparison, I know it's not, but Jamal Shead looked pretty good out there tonight. And that's the thing that's going to haunt Reed. I still absolutely believe in him, but when you get picked that high you're unfairly going to be judged by it for your entire career. Right now Reed looks like a REALLY bad pick because of his draft position. Shead went 42 picks after Reed, which was ****ing ridiculous, but it does kind of make you wonder in hindsight if the Rockets didn't make a mistake taking him so early.
Reed went from assertive primary ball handler putting up 20/5/5 on 57% TS in the Summer League to looking like Jerry Lin. He didn’t just lose all his basketball skills, it’s all in his head. Send him to the G-League to dominate for a stretch. He’s not going to dig himself out of the hole playing a scared 10min a game on a contender.
Shead was good tonight but he's been terrible all season. The guards from this draft have not been good. From what Reed showed in summer league and preseason I still like his potential, but man has this been has been rough to watch. The worst part is he can't hit a ****ing shot.
